Numerical analysis of two RF deflectors in the project of FERMI@Elettra (a forth generation of the Synchrotron light). The first deflector is a low energy RF deflector (LERFD), where I designed the cooling system for this deflector using a written macro in ANSYS Multiphysics that perform all the numerical analysis required for this aim (HFThermalstructuralHF reanalysis) on a 3D structure of the RF deflector done by the software Solidworks. I used MathCad to calculate the fluid dynamics parameters for the cooling tubes. While for other deflector, a high energy RF deflector (HERFD), I used the program modeFRONTIER to optimize the whole structure; the RF cavity and the mechanical part of the deflector. Using the optimization algorithms of modeFRONTIER, I made Solidworks, MathCad, and ANSYS Multiphysics communicate inside modeFRONTIER to find the optimal structure.
