Designation: Senior Accountant Reported to: Head of Accounts Summary: Overall accountability for Asset Accounting, Financial accounting/Auditing for subsidiaries, Intercompany reconciliations, Accounting for new investments, ERP implementation. IFRS 16 implementation.
Responsibilities: My work-related experience are as follows:
• Coordinate with Plant and Equipment Department for Capitalisation of Assets.
• Capitalisation of Assets and Investments.
• Establish accounting procedure for investment and assets.
• Manage yearly/monthly/quarterly audit process,
• Work on SAP R/3 (ERP) system covering different aspects of operation
• Manage internal audit systems and ensure compliance with standards
• Provide timely, detailed and frequent reporting to Head of Accounts/Finance Director.
• Review all contracts for investments to ensure alignment with compliance.
• Coordinate financial, strategic and organizational restructuring with Head of Finance.
• Manage Subsidiary accounts, preparing financials and acting as a finance manager
• Monthly/Quarterly Intercompany Reconciliations
Overall accountability of controlling, financial accounting, identify new expansion opportunities, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, working capital management, MIS, budgeting & reporting, ERP implementation, tax matters, administrative and human resource activities.

Working in the multicultural environment of Abuja, Nigeria. Major responsibilities include:
- Issuing Quarterly Financial Statements (in compliance with IFRS) and management accounts;
- Preparation of yearly and monthly budgets;
- Daily / weekly monitoring of expenditures, bank balances and budget variance analysis;
- Monthly reconciliation of balances with related parties (contractors) including variance analysis between billing and Certificates of work performed;
- Liaise with auditors in order to issue audited financial statements in compliance with IFRS for the year end.
I have had an opportunity of being involved in varied nature of specialized engagements of both local and multinational concerns. This exposure has provided me with an in-depth view of the key business processes, risk management procedures, accounting and internal control systems, corporate governance and regulatory as well as accounting frameworks.
