Integrity assessment of Static equipment, on plot & off plot piping, flow lines • Study of corrosion problems encountered during internal inspection of the static equipment and recommendations • Failure analysis of static equipment and pipe lines and suggest remedial actions and recommendations (24”marmul DWD header) as part of investigation team member. • Failure analysis of dehydration tank oil outlet swivel joint (20”) by developing repair procedure, design improvement and resulted in reduction of procurement cost and down time of tank in oil & gas in PDO. • Shell RBI implementation for oil gathering stations. Saudi Aramco Lubricating oil Refinery- Yanbu - KSA: • RBI methodology implementation for Vacuum distillation, Furfural extraction unit. • Review of vendors Welding procedures for new project VDU. • Preparation of material specification for project and inspection of materials at ware house (review of material test certificates etc).

Preparation of Inspection test plant (ITP) and punch list for various static equipment like vessels, distillation columns, reactors , fired heaters, exchangers, drums, boilers, HRSGs, and tanks during erection and commissioning of the units. • Pre commissioning internal inspection of all the static equipments Responsibilities after commissioning & during operation of the plant units: • Preparation of Plant Integrity Assurance Manual (PIAM) for plant on the basis of Risk Based Inspection. • Inspection of pressure vessels, columns, drums, heat exchangers, boilers, coolers, storage tanks, valves and piping • Preparation Inspection plan for annual turn around shutdowns for scope of repair, NDT requirements and issue of recommendations to the maintenance department that includes repair procedures. • Vendor shop inspection for heat exchangers. In house inspection for re tubing of the heat exchangers. • Inspection of Packinox exchanger- Plate type bundle enclosed in closed vessel (CFE) in Aromatics and preparation of inspection report and recommendations. Failure analysis report of Packinox exchanger (Platformer, Tatoray units). • Inspection of toluene column reboilers (2nos) and recommendation for repair of roll joints by seal welding (each 2750 tubes- 1” dia). • Corrosion study in Vent gas wash tower of CCR unit. Recommended for internal coating to avoid corrosion of vessel and its connecting pipe line (HCL corrosion). • Corrosion study in Reformer splitter overhead, fin fan coolers (due to NH4CL). • Preparation of welding procedure specification for fabrication and NDT requirements. • Thermography survey of fired heaters for measuring tube skin temperatures. • Preparation of inspection procedure for all static equipment like vessel, heat exchangers fired heaters, reactors, air fin coolers, tanks, boilers etc. • Failure analysis of Gas turbine atomizing air cooler (shell tube exchanger) for chloride stress corrosion cracking. • Preparation of inspection budget for based inspection schedule plan and turn around inspection. Monitoring of expenditure against planned budget for inspections, and redresses any variances to ensure effective cost control. • Training of junior engineers in corrosion mechanisms in Refinery and Petrochemicals, inspection of Heat exchangers, reactors and fired heaters etc.
