• Approval of all materials and ensuring compliance of used material with project specification.
• Supervision, monitoring and inspection of total construction activities carried out by contractor on site on behalf of employer in accordance with specification, approved drawings and method statements.
• To inspect and record the construction works carried out by contractor on site and resolve the site-generated quarries regarding material by coordinating with Resident Engineer.
• To ensure performance of the work in strict accordance with the drawings and specification
• Inspections of all material delivered to site/store making sure that all are approved and as per project specification.
• Checking & Approving the Material Submittal submitted by contractors.
• Responsible for supervision of concrete pouring and asphalt paving at site
• Make special notes and document the contractor’s activities that may lead to claims.
• Co-ordinate and co-operate with Contractors ME for all the activities related to materials.
• Checking RFA & NMR submitted by the contractor and forwarding them to RE.
• Coordinate with the laboratory technician and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work and quality assurance testing of suspect materials.
• Inspection of Concrete and Asphalt Plants making sure that the approved mix design to be followed.
• Supervision and Inspection of all construction activities carried out by contractor on site.
• Making arrangements for the tests required by Dubai Central Lab and test to be required by independent laboratory.
