• During this period, I continued to contribute my skills and expertise to ADNOC Drilling, albeit in the capacity of a contractor through a third-party arrangement. Despite the change in employment structure, my responsibilities and duties remained consistent with my previous direct-hire role, as highlighted in the section below with ADNOC Drilling.
• Reviewed scope of works and devised plans for all pre-award and post award activities for different drilling & operational requirements.
• Invited EOI / RFI for sourcing potential bidders to formulate the bespoke pricing, tendering, and award strategies through SAP Ariba.
• Managed Bidder Lists & Award Strategies via Tender Board Management Software (TBMS) to for approvals.
• Published RFPs / RFQs in SAP Ariba to solicit technical and commercial bids for buying and hiring of offshore & onshore rigs and associated services including carrying out major maintenance & refurbishment of drilling rigs.
• Provided clarifications through tender bulletins, coordinated technical evaluations of bids from user units, conducted commercial evaluations of priced bids, and initiated contractual and commercial negotiations with bidders and service providers.
• Collaborated closely with legal dept. on bidders contractual exceptions in finalizing contract drafts appendices for execution and made necessary adjustments to make it back-to-back terms with companys clients.
• Formulated award recommendations in TBMS and defended it during Major / Minor Tender Boards face to face meetings and finally obtained approvals on award recommendations and drafted final contracts for execution in conjunction with subsequent variations, extension orders, as well as prepared recommendations for claims to clients as needed.
• Assessed commercial risks and considered appropriate risk mitigation solutions to prevent any potential impact on Tender, Contract delivery plan, and annual budgets.
• Ensured timely submission of advance payment bank guarantees, performance bonds, and insurance certificates by the awarded local & international contractors.
• Developed reports detailing contract status and performance.
• Obtained prices to assist concerned departments for calculating Capex / Opex cost and submitted commercial proposals for rig hires to ADNOC Group Companies and IOCs engaged in oil & gas exploration & production, having concessions in Abu Dhabi.
• Was part of the teams for Common Category Management Process across ADNOC Group representing ADNOC Drilling and Implementation Leadership for ADNOC One ERP Project.
• Served as a focal point in relationships with vendors executing procurement & contracting services for Minor & Major Projects pertaining to three affiliate plants namely - Yanpet, Ibn Rushd, & Gas. Worked on companys De-Bottle Necking (DBN) Project delivery.
• Handled EPC projects involve lump sum scope consisting of engineering, design, acquisition, supply of materials, installation, testing, & commissioning on LSTK basis. Project scope ranges from construction of new operating unit, plant revamping, upgrading and engineering modification to an existing operating unit.
• Supported the project team on the early contract deliverables during the project kick-off.
• Ensured best value is achieved by competitive tendering and effective negotiations. Monitored Contract executions conforms companys policies & procedures, standards of ethics and fairness.
• Supported turnaround activities of affiliate plants by ordering heavy equipment: Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, Turbines etc. and strongly liaise with freight forwarders for ex-works deliveries of equipment and customs clearances.
• Beside worked as Purchasing Specialists and provided vital buying support for all major materials and equipment to assure best service to in-house customers.
• Involved in entire purchasing cycle effectively for the assigned commodities required for plant operation and maintenance utilizing mySAP.
• Procured MRO inventory items for turbines, compressors, boilers, exchangers, pump & accessories; pipelines/control valves; material for electrical/process instrumentation system; laboratory equipment; industrial gases; fleet maintenance garage spares; repair & return jobs; etc.
• Provide cost effective solutions for OEM and non-OEM material requirements.
• Acquired good knowledge of FIDIC conditions of contracts and Incoterms
