- Managing and ensure smooth running of daily insurance team’s operations within the required service standards and ensure that claims are paid accurately and promptly e.g. claims management and investigation, insurance documentations etc

- Build collaborative relationships with internal business units and work closely with brokers and insurers to fulfil business requirements

- Management and ownership of claims and premiums databases to ensure consistency and data integrity

- Assist in renewals of insurance programs ranging from marine to non-marine insurances

- Review claims processes and initiate improvements and system enhancement to ensure best practices.

- Provide d accurate and timely assessment of all classes of claims with required service standards independently.
- Built collaborative relationships and ensure that claims are well managed for both internal and external key stakeholders to achieve claim s business objectives
- Ensured proper analysis of claims statistics to provide full claims overview, highlight key issues each month at monthly claims meeting to Operations team so that loss prevention initiatives can be worked on in collaboration with the relevant departments to prevent recurrences in future with common goal
of minimizing claims.
- Maintained and ensure d full coverage for all vessels trading in high risk area.

•Management of all crew related P&I Claims
•Informing relevant P&I clubs and work with Marseille P&I claims desk and legal department.
•Attending to all crew members’ medical care, hospitalisation and repatriation.
•Calculation of all sick pay and Ensure that the accounting manager has the information of the cost per claim
•Ensure that all claims are not fraudulent
•Follow up the P&I club reimbursement and Cross check with Finance upon receipt of the funds from the club.
•Statistical reporting/ KPIs, claims analysis on a weekly and monthly basis
•Report incident/ injury to MOM within 10 days from the date of occurrence, if applicable.
•Arrange crew to Singapore for Medical assessment in the event that they opt to claim under Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA).

•Management of hull and machinery, crew, cargo and liabilities claims (for Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Ltd and The China Navigation Co. Pte Ltd) till conclusion of the claim and ensure that all the claims correspondences, billings, payments etc are kept in good order.

•Monitor vessels that operate in war risks areas on regular basis and ensure war underwriters are notified promptly of entrance to war risk area and exit from war risk area. Monitor billing and payment of war risk premiums. Ensure war risks premiums and database are kept up to date on daily basis.

•Ensure that all claims records are kept up to date in system for ease of retrieval and reports generation and analysis.

•Maintain records of insurance policies, invoices, endorsements, updates, cancellation and renewals for all marine insurances for all vessels are kept up to date in file and archive.

•Attend and contributes to monthly P&I meeting with Fleet Operations Director, Accounts and Crewing Department.

•Review of contracts on charterparties, new buildings to ensure sufficiency of insurance covers.

•Manage all claims for General Insurances including motor insurance and staff general insurance matters.
