1. Conduct periodical condition monitoring and verification checks on various mechanical equipment using on-line (Bently Nevada Machinery Monitoring System)
The interpretation of the Online - System 1 analysis part includes Time waveform, FFT Spectrum, Orbital plots, Shaft Centerline plots, Shaft positioning etc.
2. Off-line (Scout 100/140) vibration analyzer is used to collect vibration data and detailed report is created for any abnormalities.
3. Ensure adequate frequency of the scheduled condition monitoring and reliability improvement programs in view of historical data pertaining to reliability and performance of mechanical equipment malfunctions.
4. Coordinate closely with other sections for major shutdowns and carry out reliability and performance analysis including base line data collection and analysis following new installations, modifications, major maintenance or overhaul of mechanical machinery and equipment.
5. Raise maintenance work orders/notifications based on diagnosis.
6. Resolve complaints related to performance or condition of mechanical equipment and machineries, evaluate innovative technologies, and identify opportunities for improvement, recommending changes/upgrades to maximize reliability of plant facilities.
Achievement -
• Successfully implemented CMMS setup from scratch in the plant
Took break for preparing for CAT 2 Vibration analysis certification exam.
Provided technical advice to operation and maintenance regarding machinery health based on its dynamic behavior using predictive inspection and host software (online/offline). Recommend the corrective action for the problematic equipment.
2. Detailed diagnosis using phase analysis, motor current signature analysis, Infrared thermography, and modal analysis for detailed diagnosis of rotating equipment.
4. Installation & training of software, Post-sales support to clients and any other additional support to help trouble shoot repeated failures through RCM, FMEA.
Achievement -
• Successfully carried out more than 50 in-situ balancing jobs in various industries.
• Saved company’s considerable amount of money & time by installing clients CMMS software online / through phone rather than visiting their site.
• Achieved highest of equipment availability in Apollo Tyres, Chennai (Clients) compared to its sister companies abroad.
• Assigned special assignment in KSA for a year in Ibn Rushd, SABIC.
Perform routine maintenance inspections of equipment to identify and respond to problems in a timely manner, thus preventing breakdowns.
2. Provide solutions and fixing equipment malfunctions and system faults - Used root-cause-failure techniques, corrective actions, modifications and performing replacements and/or new installation.
3. Worked with company’s vendors and supervising subcontractors during various maintenance projects to ensure proper completion of work performed.
4. Conduct material inspection in stores for quality assurance.
5. Prepared Annual budget, Monthly planner for manpower & material, HSE Audits, 5S Inspection.
