Project: New Doha International Airport (Currently Hamad International Airport) - CP13
Responsible for testing and commissioning activities of electrical utilities. The installations include:
- 6 main 66/11kV substations each consisting of 66kV GIS (at three locations), 2 nos. 50/60MVA ONAN/ONAF power transformers, 11kV metalclad switchgear and related substation automation, protection and auxiliaries.
- 114 nos. 11kV distribution substations.
- Over 250 nos. 11/0.433kV dry type and oil filled distribution transformers of various ratings.
- Central Utility Plant supplying chilled water and standby power (8 nos. 6.6 kV generators 5.2 MW each) to the passenger terminal building.

Project description: Construction of Al-Senaeyah 230/69/13.8kV BSP consisting of a 230kV double busbar GIS (9 breakers), a 69kV double busbar GIS (32 breakers), a 13.8kV Switchgear (31 breakers), three 230/69/13.8kV, 155/250 MVA power transformers, and three 69/13.8kV, 30/40 MVA power transformers with all associated control & protection, SCADA, communications and substation auxiliary systems.

Responsibilities:

1- Preparing bi-weekly testing and commissioning schedules.
2- Coordinating and supervising testing and commissioning activities of substation equipment (protection panels, SCADA, SOE, ABTS, HV Capacitors, etc.)
3- Interacting with the client and suppliers for resolving technical deficiencies related to design and testing activities.
4- Supervising and carrying out modification and interfacing works on existing protection schemes in compliance with client’s comments and requirements.
5- Commissioning of substation Data Retrieval system which allows the client’s engineers to remotely access all numerical protection relays for retrieving disturbance records and updating relays settings if required.

1- Preparing bi-weekly testing and commissioning schedules.
2- Coordinating and supervising testing and commissioning activities of substation equipment (115kV GIS, 13.8kV Switchgear, power transformers, batteries and battery chargers, SCADA, relay & control panels, ABTS, etc.).
3- Commissioning of HVAC DDC system.
4- Conducting meetings with client and suppliers to finalize design issues.
5- Supervising and carrying out modifications and interfacing works at existing substations.
6- Reviewing and studying proposed protection relays settings before submitting to the client for implementation at site.
7- Preparing as-built drawings.

5- Attending design coordination meetings with the client and suppliers to clarify and resolve the technical comments raised by the client’s engineers during review.
