• Working in a 20 bedded (10 beds PICU 10 beds HDU) paediatric critical care unit which commonly deals with scenarios like severe sepsis with septic shock, Bronchopneumonia, ARDS, poly trauma patients, Status epilepticus, pediatric surgical cases etc. JR Hospital is one of the main centers for pediatrics cranio-spinal surgery
• I am working as a Senior clinical fellow pediatrics critical care and retrieval medicine on full time of 40-48 hrs/week rota.
• Apart from dealing with inpatients my responsibilities are to respond to crash calls, review of ward patients with possible need for PICU/HDU care and retrieval of sick patients in and around the Thames valley region. We proudly run 24X7 retrieval services for pediatric patients.
• I am currently undertaking a clinical audit and am going on CESR pathway of GMC registration for consultant.
• There are dedicated training hours which I utilized for attending POCUS, ECMO workshops to name a few.
• Recently I have been handed over the responsibility of reviewing the PICU protocols.
