Worked with Dr. Adjeroh to conduct research on both bioinformatics and biometrics areas, through analyzing data, programming, executing ideas, and running experiments.
Taught diploma students programming languages (Visual Basic.net, VB6, and Java) and database systems such as Oracle, SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and mentored diploma students regarding their graduation projects.
In West Virginia University I have pursued a thesis option in computer science field and I explored variety of Computer Science's subjects including data mining, biometrics, computer vision, pattern recogtion and Oracle database. During my studies, I was sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education of Saudi Arabia. I recieved two honors award from Upsilon Pi Epsilon International Honor Society for the Computing and Information Disciplines and Golden Key International Honor Society both were in 2011. I have managed to graduate in two years with GPA of 3.9 out of 4. I have just finished writing a paper regarding my thesis and it is going to be published soon by the Hindawi Publishing Corporation.
In KSU I was exposed to the wide range of computer science concepts and ideas. I have applied for internships during my studies and I have worked as an intern in Saudi Aramco for three consecutive years. I graduated from KSU in 2006 and received the second degree honor. During My studies I learned Data Structures, System Analysis and Design, Database (PHP,Oracle), Programming Languages (VB 6, C, C++, and MATLAB), Web Development (HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript), operating systems, Graphics and Networks.
