a. Member of shift operations team in monitoring, carrying routines, timely reporting of anomalies, handling permit system according to acquired authorization to safety rules in compliance to technical, contractual, procedural requirements along with other standards and industry best practices.
b. Operates plant areas with a focus on Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) compliance and availability, taking actions to deliver customer satisfaction and achievement of business plan.
c. Responsible for accurately maintaining station and operating logs in a timely manner for statutory compliance purposes.
d. Assist Shift Charge Engineer (Safety controller) in managing the Permit to Work (PTW) system and the application of the safety rules, work release and emergency procedures to ensure compliance with site procedures.
e. Performs routine inspections, testing to water network to ensure efficient production, environmental and safety compliance.
f. Ensures full awareness of the technical condition of the asset and is proactive in ensuring that any issues that may affect the HS&E, production capability availability are properly notified and acted upon.
g. Collects operational and HS&E data for inclusion into station logs and formal reports for use by internal and statutory bodies e.g. Environmental Agency.
h. Ensures that a comprehensive and thorough handover takes place between shift teams to maintain continuity of safe operations and ensure ongoing knowledge of work activities
i. Work with the Maintenance, Engineering & Outage Managers to effectively plan and manage the delivery of outages to time, quality and budget to ensure integrity to meet business and outage plans.
j. To establish and maintain effective communication networks within own and wider team, ensuring business objectives and activities are clear, understood and best practice is shared, through preparation and participation in team and toolbox talks and the site meetings to keep staff appraised of events and ensure they are involved and engaged in the business
k. Prepares basic drawing required for job by using MicroStaion v8i Software.
As the site supervisor, my major key role job is to both assess and manage safety hazards in the workplace.
Licensed Engineer graduated from VTU university, India.
