3. Transport and Fleet Management:
• Arrange transportation for inbound and outbound logistics.
• Coordinate with carriers and manage contracts with transport companies.
• Optimize transport routes and reduce transportation costs.
4. Shipping and Distribution:
• Oversee dispatch of finished steel products to customers.
• Ensure proper documentation (invoices, delivery challans, etc.) is in place.
• Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery.
5. Warehouse Management:
• Supervise warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch.
• Implement proper material handling practices to minimize damage.
6. Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations related to transportation and storage.
• Follow safety guidelines for handling and transporting heavy steel products.
7. Coordination and Communication:
• Liaise with production, procurement, and sales departments.
• Communicate with vendors, transporters, and customers regarding delivery schedules.
8. Cost Control and Reporting:
• Monitor logistics expenses and work on cost-saving strategies.
• Prepare regular reports on logistics performance and KPIs.
