Responsible for expanding business in the Area consisting of Six markets i.e. KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq & Yemen.

Develop integrated logistics solutions for major clients like GE, Siemens, Alshaya, Landmark, Azadea, Nokia, LG, Nike, Adidas, H&M and other Hypermarkets & Fashion retailers - managing portfolio of 75 Million USD /Yr Revenue.

Provide expertise to the Key/Global accounts sourcing cost effective and reliable Logistics products ranging from Ocean, Air, In Land haulage, Rail, Custom Clearance, Warehousing, eComm, Distribution, 4PL and SCM solutions.

Supervise a team of 5 Country Heads/ BDMs in each country. Key activities include;

Develop and implement regional strategies and get them aligned with the center and Global teams while securing required budgets, regional support and set up business targets.

Coach and direct country heads to implement vertical strategy in their respective AOR and achieve business targets and goals.

Participate in local and regional RFQs and get the sourcing teams aligned for each Product to secure competitive prices for the clients.

Analyze weekly contract fulfilment %age and take quick action if required. Continuously scrutinize the contract pricing with the spot rates and highlight to pricing teams for any required tweaks.

Closely monitor the performance against the budget while keeping strict controls over costs.

Managed complete Logistics and Warehousing operations for Kuwait with a team of 950+ employees
running Multiple sites (4 sites) covering more than 700, 000 sq. ft. area. Handled a SOH of 8.5 Million
Units with a throughput volume of 120 Million Units per year.
Serviced 540 Retail stores as well as E-Comm customers in Kuwait with a fleet of 70 Trucks & 50 E
Comm Vans managing 85+ International brands - Fashion, Footwear, Furniture, Food & Cosmetics
brands such as H&M, American Eagle, Mothercare, NEXT, Debenhams, Bath & Body Works, The Body Shop,
MAC, NYX, Boots, Footlocker, Payless, Jack Wills, Victoria Secret, Harvey Nichols, Starbucks, Pottery Barn.
Retail & eComm Operations:
 Responsible for complete Inbound, Storage and Outbound to all 540+ Retail stores in Kuwait -
handling an average of 10-15 containers/ day in/out and 6, 500 Orders/ day eComm orders
 Maintained high customer satisfaction levels with every brand as per fixed SLAs while delivering
agreed KPIs and Financials on monthly basis
 Managed complete eComm operations for Kuwait - Capability to handle 6, 500 orders/ day.
Support Functions:
 Look after complete procurement for the operations - with 45 Million USD budget
 Responsible for staff recruitment, people related campaigns and other HR activities
 Ensure compliance with corporate SOPs and Audits while ensuring best utilization of resources
Major Projects:
 Designed storage solution in 2020 and the Automation for Four (4) new DCs built in Kuwait with a
total space of 700, 000 sq. ft. to manage expansion plans till 2025.
 Handled massive Migration project - Moved 16 Million units to the new facilities.
 Successfully launched eComm Operations and Last Mile delivery operations in the country.

Led Logistics and Supply Chain Department for entire Kuwait with 550 employees including;
Warehouse-operations team, Import & Export team, Transportation team and EDP (IT) team. Servicing
multiple Business Units (internal customers) while ensuring alignment with their business strategy and
strict compliance against the agreed SLAs and Corporate guidelines.
Managed six 6 Distribution Centers (DCs) across the country with a total space of 800, 000 Sq. FT.
handling 5, 000 containers / Yr (40 Ft.) i.e. 40 Million pcs / Yr with more than 200, 000 SKUs at any given
point.
 Optimized transportation model, warehousing operations and logistics services to drive reduction
in logistics cost to business and improve the quality of deliverables.
 Ensured smooth material flow across countrys entire supply chain network; from port to DCs and
then to 75 stores across Kuwait.
 Drove operational improvements while eliminating wastes, non-value-added activities and non
compliances - bringing excellence in every Supply Chain aspect.
 Worked with BUs (brands) to re-define SLAs to streamline expectations and deliverables. Setup
regular meetings with all BU stakeholders to address critical issues.

As part of Corporate Supply Chain team, drove several new initiatives across GCC countries (Saudi,
UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman) which includes ERP implementation, Standardizing material flow,
warehouse processes, introducing state-of-the-art technologies and also doing Warehouse audits to
ensure strict compliance across the region.
 Led five (5) ERP implementation projects introducing Oracle WMS to; 1) Baby Shop UAE 2) Splash
Qatar 3) MAX Dammam 4) Lifestyle Dammam 5) Shoe Mart Dammam.
 Inception of Mega DC - Worked with foreign consultants (LN Consult) to study Companys current
supply chain network and infrastructures in order to provide future solution i.e. two new central
automated Mega Distribution Centers (DCs) in UAE and KSA to handle Landmarks growth till
2020. (Approx. project cost was 400 Million Euro).
 Conducted Warehouse audits at Regional DCs after Oracle implementation on regular basis to
ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
 Deployed automation; new picking technologies i.e. Voice Picking & Pack to Light system across
GCC. Performed detailed Proof-of-Concept, established the ROI and shared findings with the BUs
and senior Management for approvals. Rolled out both technologies across GCC by mid-2014 with
a potential cost saving of 1 Million USD per year.

Worked as a DC Manager in Dubai Jabal Ali Free Zone, heading a team of 100 staff while servicing
Landmarks five (5) BUs; Newlook, Koton, MAX, Reiss, Lipsy. Managed 70, 000 Sq. Ft. facility while
processing 15 Million Units annually.
 Managed all functional areas within the DC on day to day bases providing customer-driven results
while adjusting to complex business needs at situations.
 Direct and coach Operations In-charge, Facility In-charge and Supervisors to ensure smooth
operations.
 Carried out complete Process re-engineering introducing best practices, eliminated wastes and
improved productivity levels up to 30%. Estimated cost savings of 220, 000 USD/Yr.
 Restructured the Central DC by working closely with racking suppliers to design and increase WH
storage capacity through introducing Mezzanine floors, Goods lifts and Shuttle racking.
 Responsible for planning human resource (FT and PT employees), procurement of consumables,
equipment maintenance, health and safety procedures, bi-annual stock counts and employee
trainings.

As part of Corporate Engineering team, responsible for providing engineering support (to all
Warehouses across 2 provinces Ontario and Calgary) such as redesigning WH facilitates, reworking
storage solutions for customers, capacity planning, ROI analysis for new investments, process
improvements & cost savings to existing clients like Wal-Mart (Grocery), Honda, Acura, Pepsi, Clorox,
Canon, Ministry of Health-Canada, Domtar paper, ConAgra Foods, Cangro Foods.
 Restructured procurement at Corporate level for 9 Warehouses across Ontario through tendering
out bulk requirement and implementing new procurement policies for the region. Recorded savings
of 140, 000 USD for the first year.
 Carried out cost saving initiatives at Honda and Acura spare parts facility. Provided a new pick
slotting setup keeping in view several operational factors e.g. SKU movement / velocity, handling,
storage, stacking, MHE used and picking methodology. Improved the picking productivity up to
13% giving savings of 250, 000 USD / Yr.
 Re-designed ConAgra Foods (FMCG) facility in Calgary proposing new racking solution with drive
in and selective racking. Developed layout in AutoCAD and provided new MHE, labor
requirements, system costs and an overall payback time for the solution.
 Assisted VP Sales and Head of Engineering in developing budgets / sales offers for several new
business opportunities (3PL solutions) by designing conceptual layouts in AutoCAD, storage
methodologies and detailed annual & start-up budgets while calculating equipment costs, labor
requirements and other details based on the proposed business solution.

Improved supply chain practices between CHEP centers and various other logistics companies across
Canada by applying specific IE tools for efficient movement of pallets between manufacturers /
distributors and CHEP pallet pooling network;
 Participated in Black Belt Six Sigma project with a 6-member team to retrieve assets from 1st, 2nd
and 3rd tier pallet consumers across Canada resulting in saving 0.4 Million USD in the first phase
of the project.
 Issued and developed two RFPs for Northern Ontario & Alberta to bring best rates on specific
transportation lines and brought new service providers on board; saved more than 22% of
transportation cost for those lines.

Responsible for performing time studies and bring process improvements in the assembly department
at GMs Canadian Automotive manufacturing plant CAMI (GM and Suzuki JV) - SUV plant with
stamping, welding, painting and final assembly units.
 Performed time studies (MOST based) for 45 Trim stations in addition to ergonomic assessments
and layout changes for the Trim stations (Assembly department).
 Successfully eliminated 1 work-station by changing 7 assembly stations at Chevy SUV production
plant. Saved 210, 000 USD / Yr.
 Improved labor efficiencies using Toyota Production System (TPS) methodologies and resolved
related issues with the Union Leader.
 Organized monthly Kaizen events, implemented 5S and lean concepts to improve current
manufacturing practices in the assembly department.

Worked as a Protection Engineer in Transmission and Distribution (TD) department for SIEMENS,
responsible for installing and troubleshooting of protection relays plus part of the project management
team for Turnkey grid-station project.
 As Team member for the 132/11KV substation project at Islamabad, Pakistan, obtained design
approvals from the Consultant, assisted in sourcing grid-station equipment and arranged logistics
for equipments on-site delivery, commission and testing of protection equipment and panels.
 Involved in testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of protection relays for over current,
differential and distance protection at High Voltage & Extra High Voltage substations and industrial
power plants.
 Attended and resolved service calls during faults at Grid Stations by visiting locations onsite;
troubleshot technical faults in Siemens Relays for Govt. Utility companies and industrial power
plants.
