Responsibilities Included:

• Keeping daily tabs on market news and trends; facilitating trading teams on valuations and trade executions.

• Overseeing team of 4 analysts for their financial projections and DCF models on fair values; focus on ascertaining valid asset pricing models, risk premia, betas and cost of capital for valuation for businesses.

• Generating regular investment research and presentations on potential trade ideas for clients

• Prospecting and attracting new clients; generating regular market updates, products insights and pricing for clients.

• Leading the commodity research with focus onto precious metals; Analyzing central banks policy inclinations toward the unconventional monetary tools dubbed Quantitative Easing (QE) in US, LTRO in EU and bond buying programs in UK.

• Executing buy sell trades for FX markets, commodity futures (CMEX), ETF and CFDs; Achieved over 10% quarterly return twice in under a year.

• Evaluation of fair present values for business and projects using Adjusted
Pricing Valuation (APV) and Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC)
• Valuation Adjustment for other economic factors like taxes, bankruptcy,
mergers/acquisitions, agency costs, real options etc
• Investment appraisals
• Capital Restructuring and Financing

- Portfolio and Risk management
• Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
• Expenditure and Revenue analysis
• Liquidity management; placement of reserves and non-utilized funds with
investment avenues; compatibility of investment maturities and fund
utilization requirements
• Portfolio Investments; diversification and risk return optimization of
investments
• Monitoring and evaluation of investments based on appropriate
benchmarks, market timing and asset allocation abilities
• Risk management; time series modeling based on ARCH, GARCH models;
mean and volatility evolutions for estimation of market risks, credit risks and
other notable financial risks

- Public Finance
• State budgetary analysis and policy projections
• Cost and Benefit Analysis for different government policies

- Project Implementation
• Headed a team to conceive and develop a Financial Scheme ‘Industrial
Technology Upgradation Fund’ (iTUF), worth PKR 1.0 Billion (US$ 12.5
Million) for SME financing
• Gestation of the detailed parameters and mechanism of the financial
scheme
• Liaison with major donors and government agencies
