Planting newly introduced cultivars and varieties and thus getting exposed to the whole farm operation of planting vegetables. Conducted field trials in a 5dunum plot at the Agriculture Research and Education center (AREC) in Bekaa. It consisted of research trials of different vegetable species each having a specific number.
By the end of the project, data were collected in order to compare yields, fruit qualities, plant habits and taste of old and new varieties.
Dealing with farmers and other engineers on the field day. All the vegetables varieties were presented to the public (engineers and farmers) in a field day that took place at AREC on the 28th of August 2012.
