Prepare detailed ITS field system design for connecting 350 traffic intersections/ITS equipment within Riyadh city, including network design, sensors distribution, traffic data interface as well as application deployment and testing in the Traffic Control Center.
Participate in the installation and interface of the transportation management software (TransSuite) with traffic signals and other field ITS system components.
Lead the integration and IT system design to provide data exchange and display between the vehicle/incident detection, Bluetooth travel time detectors, and variable message signs with the traffic management software at the Traffic Control Center.
Provide pre-sales technical consultation and develop cost-effective, innovative and reliable ITS solutions to win proposals and tenders and achieve high customer satisfaction for the services rendered.
Provide detail design (Technical Specs) for the integration between various ITS equipment and ICT infrastructure such as traffic sensors, vehicle detection, VMS, wireless communications, traffic applications, and data networking.
Develop and propose effective engineering solutions for Traffic Control Centers including data center design, video wall, application servers interface, communication, and security.
Create and test operational performance plans for various ITS Systems and ICT infrastructure.
Perform responsibilities of providing on-site support, technical training, and contractor supervision with regards to systems implementation, maintenance, and operation.
Provide design specification and project management services for the deployment of the ITS system architecture and LAN/ WAN configuration including field communication, and application deployment.
• Communicate and demonstrate Simulation solutions to customer base.
• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems and applications
software.
• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, directories, storage, in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Recognize system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
• Perform evaluation, diagnostic and troubleshooting of PC, network hardware and software.
• Conduct and participate in customer meetings related to solutions, systems architectures, design and overall deployment.
• Assist with the implementation and installation of ESA technology at customer sites and systems integrator lab environments.
• Direct daily operations of the IT department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.
• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, and installation activities.
• Provide technical assistance to computer system users including printing, installation, mail server and operating system.
• Install, configure and support the local area network (LAN), monitor network to ensure network availability, and perform necessary maintenance .
• Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability.
•Develop and implement IT systems applications.
• Maintain back up, disaster recovery plan and security.
