o Implement commercial, legal and contractual strategies for the business, which are consistent with the long term interests of company.
o Participate in Project Monthly Forecast meeting in order to support the effort to determine the forecast at Completion as early as possible in the project
o Monitor and analyze project performance as per the contract, recommend corrective actions to the project management team to improve project performance
o Highlight risk issues where relevant, and seek ways to mitigate risk through innovative solutions.
o Control the Contracts Management System including standardized contracts, calendars that include milestones of drawing up and execution of new contracts, activities within the contract life cycle, management for any problems, claims administration to cope with any non-adherence with contract, expiry date, renewal, payments
o Draft/evaluate/approve contracts, such as commercial, labor, financial, dealership, data privacy, procurement, construction, maintenance, merger and acquisition contracts, investment contracts, bank contracts, etc… with principals, employees, financial institutions and all second party institutions in order to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and protect the Group’s interests and assist in contract negotiations.
o Advise Senior Management and the Board in formulating corporate legal compliance and regulatory policies.
o Provide legal support to the various departments/business units by assisting in and responding to queries related to legal matters, and interpreting laws related to employee relations, service level agreements, outsourcing, data protection, labor, commercial, customers, and legal firm relations.
o Provide factual legal analysis; write reports, assessments and recommendations to management to ensure full compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
o Manage the protection of the Group’s intellectual property rights including registration of trademarks locally and internationally and copyright and institution of proceedings where appropriate
o Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority
