Serving as the strategic liaison for health IT efforts representing nursing and clinician needs within the organization (ICIS /PyxisES/ VR/ Clarivia/)

• Ensuring compliance to established system safety and security procedures of computing as well as hospital policies and procedures
•Participating self-education and development initiatives as well as distributing knowledge internally to inform plans and strategies through end-user training plans and education material for users of health applications.
•Working with clinical and IT leaders in evaluating the effectiveness of technologies and workflows that impact clinical users and provide administrative supervision to health application.
Handpicked to lead position as Nursing Affairs administrator and Medication Automation Manager for providing safe, patient and family focused quality care.
•Instrumental in implementing Information systems to King Abdullah Center for Oncology and Liver Disease for Nurse Call System, Infotainments, RTLS infection control, Barcode and Smart Pump within KFSHRC.
Key Accountabilities:
•Supported the implementation, expansion, and evaluation of information system by utilizing methods from reports and run charts and effectively maintain database integrity.
•Liaised with ITA, Laboratory, Radiology and other departments to ensure computer programs are perfectly aligned to clinical requirements.
•Consulted, advised, and educated all levels of employees including the highest levels of management and provided IT educational resources to make health care operations more effective and efficient.
•Designed end-users training manuals and provided advanced management & training as well as end-users’ hands on training, while ascertaining compliance with Nursing Development and Saudization.
•Actively participated in the development of web content Management for Nursing Affairs and web page design for Nursing affairs, research and management.
•Offered direction in selecting hardware, evaluation in Coordination with HITA, Vendor for Nursing Affairs.
•Maintained state of the art knowledge of changes in technology and clinical environment to improve the quality of care through evidence based practices by analyzing unit, divisional and organizational data.
Identified end-user educational requirements and training needs; developed educational programs and instructional materials and appropriate tools to educate the users and support staff at all levels of the organization
•Ensured smooth daily operational activities of PYXIS related nursing activities and provided PYXIS training for Nursing Personnel.
