Contact Center Program:
National Commercial Bank was engaged in a massive program with an objective to deliver a transformed World Class Contact Centre operation using best practice Technology, Business Processes and Methodology to exceed Business requirements and Customer Service expectations.

Contact centers to be built in 4 sites across the kingdom with proper BCP and Disaster recovery plan. This is one of the key strategic programs of the Bank with an initial budget of 75 million Saudi Riyals. There are 3 phases and 9 projects running under this program.

As a Sr. IT Program Manager with NCB, I am assigned to program manage this strategic program of the Bank with the following responsibilities:

• Manage multiple vendors, Business and IT groups of the Bank for this program
• Manage project managers
• Program integration management
• Program finance management
• Program Risk Management and make sure that all risks are assessed and proper response plan put in place.
• Program stream management
• Contract review and finalization with Vendors
• Adherence to approved policies and procedures to ensure quality and adequate security controls in systems.

PCI-DSS Program
Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) program was one of the Top priority program of the Bank, which was time bound as regulated by SAMA in KSA. PCI-DSS was a 33million Saudi Riyals budget program, which had 6 streams with 27 projects running in parallel with a set target date to deliver in 2011. There were 4 project managers, one PMA and one SME reporting directly to me on this program.

My responsibilities on this program were similar to the ones mentioned above for Contact Center Program. One of the key challenges was to manage Vendors as there were around 12 Vendors working on this program.

As Vice President with Mashreq Bank IT, following are my responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 25 professionals, 4 direct reportees, who are involved in core System Development, Project Management and Vendor Management.
• Manage off-shore team for development and delivery of mission critical systems of the Bank.
• Succession and back-up plan for all employees. Identify key issues and work with the team to address them.
• Responsible for Enterprise Application Integration framework and Business Process Management platform
• Responsible for Product/Vendor selection of the new EAI platform for the Bank through structured RFI/RFP process.
• Define EAI strategy and roadmap for the Bank.
• Contract review and negotiation/finalization with Vendors.
• Responsible for Bank’s alternate channel’s systems like IVR, Mobile Banking, SMS Banking, Payment Gateways.
• Oversee various projects and ensure their completion within budget and agreed timeline.
• Maintenance and Support of mission critical systems of the Bank
• User Acceptance Test Management
• Member of IT Strategy Committee
• Key member of the committee to develop/review IT policies, procedure and controls.
• Working Committee member of many ongoing projects in the Bank.
• IT Infrastructure sizing and planning for projects with IT-OPS team.
• Relationship management with internal customers.
• Adherence to approved policies and procedures to ensure quality and adequate security controls in systems.
• Adherence to all service levels committed to business units for systems
• Ensure all systems audits are passed with the best rating from audit department.
• Assist in planning and budgeting. This includes planning for human resource, infrastructure, training, AMCs, building D/R systems and upcoming projects requirements.

Senior Project Manager - PMO à International Bank of Qatar

As a Senior Project Manager - PMO, I was primarily responsible for managing and delivering the credit card project for the Bank:

• International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) wanted to outsource credit card processing to First Data International (FDI) with the following objective and scope
• To better manage their entire card process
• To implement fraud management system
• To implement behavior scoring system
• To independently manage its own credit card business
• And re-card existing customers
• Contract review and finalization with Vendors.
• Scope definition and agreement with key stakeholders and Vendor.
• Project budgeting and finance reporting.
• IT Infrastructure sizing and planning for projects with IT-OPS team.
• Develop and continuously update overall milestones plan in order to effectively manage the project.
• Manage Vendors to ensure on time delivery of the project.
• Involve and influence all the stakeholders, obtain their commitment for effective project implementation and delivery of the project.
• User Acceptance Test Management
• Keep the project under continuous review to identify gaps and risks and develop appropriate contingency plans.
• Relationship management with internal customers.
• Project status reporting and presentation to the MD and Top Management.
