Ensures computer lab network and stand alone computers are functional and ready to use by students and teachers. Ensures software programs and other configuration issues are loaded and prepared, ready for each scheduled class.
 Provides support to students and to staff so that they most effectively utilize the information technology available in the school.
 Assists professional staff in the operation of the University computer laboratory and on the use of standalone computers and peripheral equipment such as scanners, modems and printers. Assists and coaches students in the use of the technology to facilitate the completion of projects including editing and spelling features, etceteras.
 Coordinates schedules to optimize the use of the computer lab.
 Liaises with professional staff to introduce and inform of the changes to the lab, new software and features. (E.G. internet research, email, electronic images.)

 Contributes to the committee charged with the evaluation and purchase of new software and hardware.
 Maintains and orders adequate supplies such as ribbons, cartridges and computer paper. Accepts related special projects as assigned.
