Roles:
• MEP Manager responsible of all MEP activities and directly reporting to the project manager for all machanical issues.
• Oversee and coordinate all MEP subcontractors.
• Supervise installations of HVAC Systems (Ducting, Dampers, Chilled Water Pipes, Plumbing/Drainage Systems (Domestic water supply cold/hot water, water heater, Sanitary Fixtures/ Pumps Installation.
• Advise project manager of any technical aspects of MEP that may affect construction progress and quality.
• Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works.
• Review Contractor’s installation method statements.
• Review Contractor’s shop drawings against the design \[tender\] drawings for compliance with the design intent and return to project manager with appropriate comments / approval.
• Review contractor’s mechanical shop drawing in conjunction with the structural and electrical engineers to ensure engineering co-ordination.
• Review Contractor’s mechanical services material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise the Project Manager on the appropriateness of the proposals.
• Review Contractor’s proposed sub-contractor(s) associated with the structural engineering works from a technical standpoint.
• Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the mechanical services works for Contractor’s adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working practices, the construction schedule and health & safety.
• Be available to undertake off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary by the Project Manager.
• Undertake prior review of Contractor’s proposed mechanical system testing & commissioning methods and schedule
• Witness on-site piped system pressure test, air conditioning duct leakage testing and other testing that may be required during the first fix works.
• On a spot basis witness mechanical system final testing and commissioning.
• Review and comment on Contractor’s testing and commissioning results.
• Prepare on-going list of mechanical services defects for contractor’s remedial action.
• Undertake final project snagging and prepare list of defects for Contractor’s action.
• Attend project, site progress and any mechanical services related technical meetings.
• Prepare draft site / engineer’s instructions, relating to the building mechanical services, as required.

Roles:
• Mechanical Engineer responsible of all MEP activities at site
• Report daily, weekly and monthly job progress to MEP Project Manager.
• Supervise and Coordinate MEP installation services(Plumbing, Drainage, Firefighting, HVAC, BMS, Water Features, Irrigation and Infrastructure Ppumps, Valves and Pipe installations as per approved shop drawing, Method statement and Project Specification
• Ensure that all MEP installation, inspection and testing of all instored equipment, fittings are implemented to meet project specification and consultant requirements
• Using and developing BIM (building information modelling) to ensure systems are coordinated in a complex construction or refurbishment project;

Duties:
• Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of all mechanical (MEP) related works at site as per approved drawings, project specification, and method statement.
• Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all Mechanical and related works prior to execution. Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the MEP Manager for approval prior to execution at site.
• Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
