I was the Sadara Chemical Company Chief Executive Officer from October 2012 through October 2017.
During the 5-year period, I managed development of the company’s culture, hiring initiatives, training
programs, safety programs and operational processes. I grew the company from less than 300
employees to a peak of 4, 200 employees. During this tenure, I oversaw building and commissioning of
all 26 integrated world scale manufacturing plants that produce a total of 3 million tons of high value-
added plastics and chemical products each year, making it the largest petrochemical facility to be built in a single phase for a cost of just over $20 billion. In 2013, project financing for $12.5 billion was secured making it the largest in the Middle East. At the peak of building the complex, there were nearly 60, 000 contractor workers and the Total Recordable Incident Rate was maintained at a record low level of 0.03
