Follow-up with the entity contracted to identify and design the proposed water infrastructure projects on the ground.
This task includes supporting the entity to identify the most appropriate intervention and liaising with the project manager to ensure that the assessment process is properly implemented.
Assist the Project Manager and/or Program Manager in review of the design of the proposed intervention and accordingly prepare tender documents.
Assist in preparation of Tender documents and drawings/sketches as needed.
Assist in evaluation of submitted Contractors offers to select winning contractor.
Supervising in field follow-up and monitoring on projects’ execution and report the progress work.
Review of the contractor submittals, letters, shop drawings and payments.
Monitor Contract progress, identifying bottlenecks, and pointing-out declining performance of
Contractor
Review Contractor’s schedule and method statement in respect of all civil works
Ensure Contractor’s compliance with the Terms and Conditions of the Contract
Prepare drawings/sketches as needed to clarify site instructions
Liaise with Contractor’s staff in all site matters and assist in finding practical solutions to daily site
problems
Control engineering works and in particular the quality of works, safety and environmental aspects and
compliance with the Contract
Inspect works for conformity to specifications and design instructions, and ensure work compliance with relevant engineering standards and codes..
Convey progress, comments, problems etc. to Urban Planning and Design unit regarding the works.
Review and monitor planning schedules, analyze potential or occurring constraints/delays and oversee the implementation of remedial measures, including extending assistance to Contractor to reschedule.
