Leading a global team of buyers and planners that is responsible for balancing supply and demand in North & South America, Europe and Asia. Responsible for driving continuous improvements in product line results, as well as managing master production and procurement plans for each region based on demand forecasts, service levels and financial goals.

•Determine inventory and distribution strategy, able to reduce aged inventory by 2, 500 tons globally by setting up lean parameters for MTO vs MTS SKUs and providing strategic direction on liquidating excess inventory and optimizing warehouse replenishment processes
Spearheading global efforts to implement continuous order fulfillment improvement projects and processes that remove complexity and improve business performance related to supply chain, planning, purchasing, demand management, staffing and customer service
•Primary source of technical expertise in supporting global supply chain functions. Recruited, trained, mentored and developed procurement, logistics and supply chain personnel at numerous plants in the US, Europe and China. Organize and lead monthly global supply chain meetings to review key metrics with Order Fulfillment leads to enable collaborative process improvements.
•Worked with purchasing agents across North American and Europe to implement SIC materials replenishment tool that streamlines the purchasing process. Implemented quarterly raw material review processes that reduced access inventory and improved working capital by 15%.
•Developed and implemented a new production planning wheel concept and order acceptance processes that reduced manufacturing waste by $1.2 million and dropped lead times for strategic customers by more than 10 weeks. Worked with demand managers to create an 18 month supply planning process to support S&OP.
Effectively developed and managed capacity and production planning of over 10 separate work centers. Developed master schedules and optimized factory loadings utilizing the company’s ERP system (Baan) to provide flawless service and 95% on-time customer fulfillment rate.
•Primary contact and liaison between top management, production, quality control, purchasing, logistics and sales to coordinate all material and information requirements needed to optimize production efficiency while meeting agreed stock and service level targets. Delivered Day to day management services for 35 union hourly employees, assuring completion of daily production schedule and achieving a high percentage of schedule attainment
•Managed monthly S&OP meetings, inventory levels, on time deliveries, and just in time efforts across the site to maximize revenue, shorten order cycle-time increase cash flow and minimize working capital.
Develop and set strategy for Prodea’s global logistics and Supply Chain operations.
• Responsible for ramping up and sustaining sourcing and logistics operations including establishing worldwide supply chain teams with strategic electronics manufacturing services, 3rd party logistics companies and global freight forwarders.
•Develop, issue and analyze RFI’s and RFP’s to determine suppliers’ and logistics partners’ capability and compatibility.
•Design and implemented quality, risk and performance management process and procedure documents/ KPIs used to effectively manage all supplier performance
•Manage all aspects of contract negotiations with logistics companies including pricing, business models, scheduling and statement of work.
•Help structure Prodea’s supply chain function encompassing sales and operations planning, demand forecasting and ERP implementation.
Managed and supervised staff of ten who cover purchasing, shipping and inventory departments, and ensured that all processes within these departments are complete. Implemented JIT programs with key suppliers to reduce inventory levels. Designed a plant layout for the shipping department and developed a multi-step inventory and shipping process improvement plan.
•Worked with all freight and material suppliers to ensure continuous JIT supply of all raw materials that enter and leave plant. Saved $400k through the implementation of a core carrier program and significantly improved inventory accuracy by implementing better inventory control procedures. Managed Lean, Continuous Improvement cost cutting project teams and Six Sigma teams to control labor, freight and raw materials expenses.
•Spearheaded all SAP implementation efforts in the Dallas plant. Worked with consultants to develop business requirements and training plans. Provided training, go-live assistance and post implementation support to end-users.
•Chosen to manage the entire manufacturing plant’s overall safety and 5S functions for over a year. Successfully oversaw strict adherence to OSHA regulations . dropped the OSHA injury rate from

Designed, implemented and managed all aspects of $3 million automated material transportation system. This included the construction of a 3 track rail spur, an unloading station and over one half mile of subterranean and elevated conveyors with automated control systems. This project resulted in annual savings of over $600, 000.
•Completed 3 Six Sigma Green Belt projects and got certified through BMG. Logistics and Engineering Six Sigma projects exceeded $2 million in direct savings annually.
•Completed numerous automation projects at the Dallas manufacturing facility that resulted in reduced head count, waste and cost. Projects’ scope included mechanical, electrical and logistical focuses.
Managed all technical aspects of customer relations; coordinated with department heads to ensure product success at customer site. Guided pre- and post-sales support, providing valuable solutions to business dilemmas.
•Worked with key accounts to jointly establish product design goals and sales forecasts; conveyed these requirements and forecasts to manufacturing. Cultivated relationships with customer base in paper industry and uncovered new customer needs that lead to higher sales and profit margins.

Oversaw Kodiak’s brake actuators product line from initial conceptual design to final product marketing and sales.
•Collaborated with dealers, national accounts, end-users, and the sales force to define new product requirements. Solicited feedback from customers, machine operators, and manufacturing facilities in China to develop new designs of the highest quality and cost effectiveness.
•Determined sales forecast for proposed new products, justified new product development investments, and oversaw product developments to match customer demand.
•Analyzed competitive product offerings in terms of features and benefits as well as price points.
•Launched the new Kodiak disc brake actuator into the market place to replace an existing drum brake actuator increasing annual sales from 14, 000 to 48, 000 units.
•Designed and created assembly drawings, including bills of materials, and detailed drawings for the design of Kodiak’s trailer components using AutoCAD.
