Rahimafrooz is the leading Automotive & Appliance battery manufacturing company in Bangladesh. After Meeting local demand, we also export batteries in 78 countries in the world. I am working as Head of Sales and responsible to look after the whole process of our Domestic Sales Operation.
Jotun is one of the leading Paint & Coating manufacturing companies across the world. I joined here as Head of Sales and perform below roles-
A. Sales:
Manage Sales Department by monitoring and supervising the activities of all sales personnel through monthly sales & collection performance to ensure that it is within budget
Support and monitor the team in sales collection, visiting Consultants, Architects and Main Contractors.
Develop and co-ordinate the sales & marketing activities by providing technical support and pricing strategy to ensure we secure the right business with the right pricing & products.
Monitor project follow up by sales personnel through periodical project report and ensure that all projects are followed up closely.
Co-ordinate with customer service department, production, technical service and laboratory to ensure prompt delivery, good technical service and product availability.
B. Marketing
Pricing, distribution & promotional plans & implementation,
Promotional plans as per budget approved by region,
Updating global R&D for new product development or product modification as per demand of local market,
Market research & intelligence,
C. Finance:
Ensuring “Black” over “Red” (sales growth over manageable cost growth) at any point of time,
Maintain desired profitability of each product by smart pricing & aligning the cost structure,
Checking gross margin on quarterly basis and take necessary action to keep it in line with corporate strategy,
Identifying improvement areas to reduce manageable cost from every departments,
D. People Management:
Encourage and provide moral support to sales personnel by visiting key customers to ensure good customer service.
In-house training for skill development,
Guiding, coaching & mentoring staffs regularly on the job basis
E. Supply Chain:
Ensuring Annual, periodic & rolling forecast to ensure product availability as well as proper utilization of investment,
Monitoring process mapping of imported items to minimize inward timings,
Distribution cost optimization, ensuring OTIF
Ensuring FEFO (first expire first out) in company as well as dealer’s warehouses,
F. Decision Making:
Directly involved with strategic decision making of the company’s local business
Whole operations of the region including -
Sales,
Marketing,
Finance,
Admin,
HR,
Distribution,
Joined as Sales Officer in 2004. In 2008 got promotion as Assistant Manager and in 2011 got the responsibility to take care an important branch office.
