Joined Summer Coop Training 2018 in SAMREF for 8 weeks. Assigned to work with process engineers in C1 Area (OM&S). Evaluated the old and new PHE's performance for the Main Fresh Cooling Water System in terms of duty, overall heat transfer coefficient, and efficiency. Used Plant Information Process Book (PI)
for the daily observation of the approach temperatures of PHEs.
Checked the NPSH available for an inefficient pump, Found it greater than NPSH required. Chance of Cavitation was less and the pumps should run properly as NPSH available is greater than the required
Participated in site visits for monitoring Evaporative Cooling Water System&Main Fresh Cooling Water System. Assisted in cooling flow, hot flow, pressure, and temperature survey for the plate heat exchangers.
Joined Summer Coop Training 2016 in SAMREF for 14 weeks. Assigned to work in Laboratory as a lab technician. Performed the routine analysis tests in analytical lab section; nitrate, fluoride, chloride, phenol, pH, COD, BOD, dissolved oxygen and caustic soda test.
Analyzed tests in physical lab section; a flash point for gasoline, freezing point for jet fuel, relative density, viscosity, and pour point for marine fuel and diesel.
Attended classes on the importance of communication between different departments in industrial plant and its impact on the workflow.
Graduated with Second Honor Class in Jan 2019. Studied the foundations of this branch of engineering: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Economics. The course of the study highlighted the core of chemical engineering units and that includes; Mass&Energy balances, Heat&Mass transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics, Reaction engineering, Process control, Unit operation, Environment&Petroluim engineering, and separation processes. In the final year, that is an advanced level. I was able to apply all foundations&core units to build up a real process design project that requires team members to work together and implement technical skills such as a technical report, performing tests, gathering data&calcaulations, and research the best method
