Summary

I am Zubia Iqbal having my Msc degree in Psychology from Punjab University, Lahore Pakistan and B, Ed degree from Allam Iqbal Open university Lahore, Pakistan . I am trained psychotherapist for both child and adult psychiatric patients.

As an academic who seeks to apply theoretical knowledge, I love to teach and love to train. I had been working as Psychologist at Fountain House Lahore, Pakistan ( institute for mental health ) for fifteen years. I had worked with special children (children with developmental disorders and intellectual disabilities) for more than two years at “Institute for Disadvantaged Children” (a Project of fountain House Lahore, Pakistan). I had visited the home of those special children who were unable to get benefits from special institutes & I have trained their mothers regarding the disability of their special child (home visits done under the program of “Out Reach Program” Fountain House Lahore, Pakistan).

I had conducted training workshops on “Family psycho education “Psychiatric History taking” & “Psychiatric Mental State Examination”. I had conducted various national and international conferences. I had experience of administrative, management and marketing work as well. I had trained postgraduate students of social and behavioral sciences. I can speak three languages (Urdu, Punjabi & English). I consider myself a psychologist who is interested in learning about every aspect of psychology. My motto as a psychologist is: Beyond Specialization.
