. Project: Interior Fit-out works for the Ministry of Labour new HQ
A PROJECT CONTRACT

. The company is specialized in project management with offices in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi & Doha. Reporting to Director, Eng. Thomas Chacko. Contracted for the project design & coordination.

. Responsibilities:

- Consulted and followed-up with the client (Ministry of Labour - Technical Committee)
- Site visits and solution of critical design issues according to the as-built and site conditions
- Developed design proposals & coordinated with building owner & consultant for approvals
- Prepared tender documents, technical report charts till awarding of the contractor
- Conducted design workshops with contractor followed by reviews for ARCH Shop Drawings
- Communicated with authorities representatives (NOC), coordinated with ID & MEP engineers
- Part of the commissioning team for handing over of the job (reports & related documents)

. Project: Various Overseas Projects

. In 2006 the world’s No. 1 oilfield services provider established an in-house Engineering & Construction department (E&C) stationed in Houston, Paris and Dubai - HQ for Middle East, Asia geo-markets (MEA). Projects were oilfield bases, offices, warehouses and staff housing vary between new, renovation and extension. HQ to approve projects exceeding USD 20 mn.

. Responsibilities:

- Consulted and followed-up with clients (oilfield segment heads or geo-markets managers) and project team members to determine project requirements and standards
- Developed design with initial cost and specifications and handed-out to awarded consultant
- Prepared a full review for the design drawings and documents submitted by consultants
- Coordinated with project managers to monitor compliance with design and specifications
- Delivered timely framed tasks for: Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Russia, Kazakhstan, India, Malaysia and Australia - meeting different countries codes with company standards
- Introduced CAD standards, office templates and codes, plus previous work documentation
- Conducted training sessions, passed tests and certified all QHSE company’s requirements

. Project: Creek Front Development - Dubai & City Of Lights - Abu Dhabi

. The Beijing based firm ranking No. 7 Top Global Contractor in both 2007 & 2008 as listed in www.enr.com. CSCEC has been awarded as the Design & Build contractor for Creek Front Development, a mixed-use project at Business Bay (AED 1.5 bn) hotel, 6 residential towers and retailing outlet in 24, 500 sqm. Later, joined new 5 high-rises (3B+G+42) City Of Lights, Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi (AED 1.8 bn). Reporting to Chief Design Engineer, Zhu Jianchao.

. Responsibilities:

- Worked on high-rises of apartments, offices, 5 star hotel, shopping mall and recreations
- Revision of Location Analysis & Design Control from developer (Dubai Properties / Tamouh)
- In charge to lead coordination of all architectural related tasks between client, government zoning authority (TECOM / AD Municipality) and different consultancies
- Cooperation with design consultant (CCDI / P&T) in Conceptual, Preliminary and Detailed Design stages to comply with Dubai’s building regulations and client outlined requirements
- Part of the management role was assessment of prequalification and quotations from required services suppliers and their conveniences to the overall designed criterias
- Prepared ARCH specifications and submission to the client alongside with ID material board
- Raised up RFIs to consultant and supervised production of architectural shop drawings
- Worked man-to-man with LEED consultant to achieve the USGBC LEED Gold certification: Project registration, energy modeling, occupancy report and LEED NC credits follow up
- Conducted workshops, attended meetings, visited sites of relevant required services

. Project: Khartoum New Int’l Airport

. This German company is one of the engineering consultancy leaders in Europe, taking role in Khartoum New Int'l Airport, the country's 2nd largest project (USD 2.0 bn) as the Project Consultant. Reporting to Project Director, Mr. Albert Mair, while managing local team of 4 architects. Architectural packages in association with Leit-Werk Architecture & Design, UK.

. Responsibilities:

- Architectural design management from Masterplan through Preliminary to Detailed Design:
1. Hajj PAX terminal 2. Commercial core (hotel, shopping mall & business centre)
3. Mosque & landscape 4. Staff housing 5. Bus terminals
- Prepared Khartoum Sub-regional Plan documentation - an urban planning study
- Worked with other consultants for different services (MEP, Landscape, Environment.. etc) and Ministry of Urban Planning, State of Khartoum, Civil Aviation & Civil Defence authorities
- Technical coordination between Khartoum and London, and supervision of local team
- Construction supervision for the LCC phase (Local Contract Constructions)
- Design management and project coordination throughout all design and tendering stages
- Followed up and conducted meetings with the client and handed over weekly progress reports and presentations (KNIA Project Implementation Unit, The Republic Presidency)

. Project: Existing Khartoum Int’l Airport

. From main office in Dubai, AA was commissioned for some projects in Khartoum, the major was extension of Int’l Departure Terminal and renovation of Domestic Terminal in existing Khartoum Int’l Airport. Leading 2 inspectors, reporting to Project Manager, Kamal Saliem.

. Responsibilities:

- Shop drawings reviews and comments, approvals of ARCH and ID submittals
- Coordination with sub-consultants and facilities suppliers
- Prepared site weekly reports & presentations to the client (Sudan Civil Aviation Authority)
- Communications and updates follow up between Khartoum and Dubai offices
- Submitted all required constructions/installations under cost and quality control
- Checked up drawings (from Dubai) and followed instructions for producing on-site details

Project: Central Bank of Sudan HQ

. The group is a well-recognized consulting bureau in Sudan, responsible for the design and supervision of new headquarters of Central Bank of Sudan (USD 42 mn) one of the major multi-storey buildings in Khartoum. Reporting to General Manager, Arch. Mohamed Hamdi.

. Responsibilities:

- Revisions and approvals for aluminum cladding, internal wall ceiling and landscape finishes
- Checked Front-of-House shop drawings in accordance to tender drawings & documents
- Prepared site work weekly reports to the client (Central Bank of Sudan)
- Submitted all required constructions / installations under cost and quality control
- Followed up and attended meetings with the client & contractor and prepared minutes

. Project: Archi./Housing/Urban

. A Uni. of Khartoum institution, undertakes architecture, housing and urban design projects. Appointed for the job as one of the best 4 GPA graduates, supervised by Dr. Seif Hassan.

. Responsibilities:

- Prepared conceptual and design drawings and 3D models by stages
- Prepared technical working drawings; upon client requests / project conditions
- As part of the team, won competitions for 2 different large scale projects (No. 1 & 4)
- Increased the productivity of 3D concepts by launching the use of ArchiCAD in office
