• 8 weeks pediatric outpatient experience serving children with feeding disorders, learning disabilities, developmental delay, neuromuscular conditions, sensory processing disorder, and pervasive developmental disabilities.
• Gained experience with clinical observation, caregiver interviews and consultation, administration of pediatric assessments, intervention planning/implementation, activity/equipment analysis, and daily documentation. Specialized experience gained in feeding/swallowing assessment and intervention.
• Helping clients regain or enhance their daily lives after specific events such as hip replacement or stroke.
• Assessing and modifying clients’ home and community environment to improve their safety and independence.
• Prescribing and educating clients and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment to assist function
• Monitoring clients’ function and progress, prescribing adaptive/assistive equipment to ensure safety upon discharge from the hospitals
