o Participate in the development and implementation of GUPCO’s corrosion monitoring and control procedures/program for existing facilities
o Review and interpret reports to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies, and advise with the corrective actions where required
o Perform failure analysis to determine root-cause and recommends optimum and cost effective solutions
o Participate in the preparation of material selection reports and specifications
o Review cathodic protection system design, installation and measuring for offshore and onshore assets (sacrificial anodes and embraced currents types) according to corrosion calculation software and codes/standards as NACE, API, etc
o Participate in tenders’ technical evaluation, commercial evaluation and vendor prints review
o Verify the conformance of the purchased materials (Piping, valves, etc.) with GUPCO specifications
o Review and Issue piping, pressure vessels and storage tanks’ inspection reports
o Develop mechanical repair actions close out reports
o Review inspection activities/reports through spot checks, examination of log data and visual reports of onshore and offshore facilities
o Verify the fulfillment of vendors’ inspection and test plans
o Prepare non-destructive tests NDT reports
o Review and provide support for the remedial action and mitigation plans resulting from inspections to assure cost effective solutions consistent with company strategy
o Review close-interval surveys CIS according to specified standards and company strategy
o Support in dispensation decisions based on material status and analogy
o Participate in defining the required chemical doses for oil treatment
o Prepare cost deviations reports based on current expenditure and forecasts
o Participate in tenders’ technical evaluation, commercial evaluation and vendor print review
o Participate in preparation of budgets
o Comply with HSE policies and applicable legislation
