Responsible for knowing critical functions within the department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department.
q Utilize teamwork to develop departmental synergy.
q Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
q Reviews accounts payables and weekly check runs.
q Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
q Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions.
q Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports.
q Prepares work papers and supporting schedules for the annual financial review.
q Staff management and development.
q Distributes monthly comparison reports and cost center reports according to schedules.
q Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarize company financial position.
q Analyze transactional processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.
q Closely maintains and monitors the fixed assets system.
q Assist with annual budgets
q Coordinate monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
q Develop and implement various accounting procedures.
q Preparation of the monthly statutory accounts and consolidated financial statements.
q Work with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
q Maintain system of accounts and keep records on all company transactions and assets.
Review and approve general ledger system journal entries.
Record and balances inter-company transactions.
Execute settlements of inter-company account receivables and account payables.
Prepare monthly reports of overhead expense gains and losses.
Make monthly and year-end closing of the Division's general ledger.
Compile the Divisions monthly financial statements.
Combine financial statements at the properly stated currency rate for consolidated reporting.
Compile and distribute monthly financial management reports.
Analyze general ledger account balances.
Reconcile fixed asset ledger balances to general ledger control account balances.
Assist Financial Planning Analysis with Budgeting and Strategic Planning Process.
Maintain custody and control of the Divisions depository bank account.
Assist with the testing and installation of financial accounting systems.
Update and/or write general accounting instructions.
Assist with the implementation accounting policies and procedures.
Provide periodic written reports and verbal updates on the status of routine activities.
Ensure that financial management reporting requirements are timely, complete and accurate.
Maintain an adequate base of technical skills, knowledge and practices within the accounting
department to ensure competent levels of performance.
