3. Ensure that the Editorial Assistants have taken proper action
regarding theconcerns previously issued by the Editorial
Screening Team
4. Check the review process to ensure that there are no oversights
5. Revise all communications related to manuscripts to ensure that
any raisedconcerns were dealt with adequately
6. Check special issues to make sure that they are no
violations, or ethicalconcerns
7. Communicate omissions (if any) to editorial staff and follow up
with themuntil their resolving
8. Reject manuscripts that do not qualify acceptance
9. Handle investigations of post‐publication claims and tasks
10. Anticipate quality or publication ethics risks and escalate them
to EditorialQuality Assurance Team Leader
11. Suspend production/publication process of papers with updates needed
after acceptance and follow up on them until released in a timely
manner
Job Purpose Conducting the initial screening process of all articles that are submitted to
Hindawi in order to ensure that all articles sent for peer review are of proper
quality and that our customers adhere to our publishing policies.
Main Responsibilities 1. Generate XML and HTML files for manuscripts to suggest the most suitable
editors and reviewers for the manuscripts, and to facilitate the reviewers work
process
2. Check SCIgen Detection Tool results on the Editorial Quality System (EQS)
to detect SCIgen generated papers (fake papers)
3. Evaluate the length of a manuscript to make sure that it meets Hindawi’s
standards
4. Perform rigorous searches to make sure that the manuscript neither has been
published elsewhere nor is under review elsewhere
Job Purpose Checking, verifying, and implementing all authors’ replies to the comments
sent in the first set of galley proofs and any new comments in order to produce
the final version of the manuscript, taking into consideration the
implementation of Hindawi’s in‐house style
Main Responsibilities 1. Identify the modifications requested from authors in the articles and apply
these corrections or send them to the relevant teams, to ensure publishing the
paper with high quality
2. Direct the authors inquiries (if any) to the Editorial Staff in specified cases
to guarantee high quality responses to the authors’ inquires
3. Check and adjust the articles’ style and page breaks after implementing
corrections to match Hindawi’s in‐house journal style
4. Generate the paper in HTML, PDF and Electronic Publication (ePub)
formats to give the author a variety of formats of the published article
5. Make the final edit into the manuscript before publishing
Job Purpose Formatting the manuscripts’ layout to ensure maintaining Hindawi’s
in‐house style and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities 1. Format manuscripts’ text, tables, and references while adding the figures
received from the graphics team to ensure maintaining Hindawi’s in‐house
style and quality standards
2. Convert the manuscript format from MS Word to PDF format to ensure they
are in the competent publication format
3. Review the converted manuscript and compare it with the original one in the
word format to guarantee the consistency and ensure that the converted file is
formatted according to Hindawi`s in‐house style
4. Send the manuscript to the Proofreading and Copyediting teams to add their
corrections on the manuscript
5. Upload the finalized manuscript on the Content Production System to be
sent to the author after being approved by the
