To manage and maintain appropriate and accurate levels of National Unified
Procurement Company (NUPCO’s) warehouses inventory, to ensure that required
products are available to meet and not exceed requirement as per NUPCO’s quality
standards.
Areas of Responsibility (AOR)
* Develops policies and procedures for the warehouse structure to ensure all
material is ready, identifiable, accessible, and countable
* Manages and controls development of the required documentation and ensures
data input and maintenance into the ERP System
* Manages inventory levels to ensure required level of inventory is achieved and not
exceeded and to ensure inventory turn goals by balancing inventory levels to
ensure demand is fulfilled with sufficient inventory
* Directs the daily activities of material handlers and/or transportation personnel
within warehouse to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of work processes
* Interfaces with other NUPCO Departments to ensure required materials are
available
* Ensures inventory accuracy, expense control and effective customer service
through the direction, coaching, and motivation of staff.
* Ensures NUPCO’s compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
* Provides input into development of the department’s annual budget
* Directs the development of periodical reports as required by the supervisor
* Works closely with the Health and Safety function for the oversight of safety
practices ensuring that all safety, quality, security and environmental plans, rules,
regulations, practices and initiatives are enforced
* Follows operation and system processes to ensure staff compliance with
established guidelines
* Establishes a core team of employees in a manner which supports NUPCO’s
objectives and its business strategy
* Leads a team of professionals within own area of control and focus
* Directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they fulfill their duties
