Job Brief: Majorly involved in the supervision of various entities of the group which include Construction, Prefab Houses, Real Estate and Property Development companies, Joinery, Aluminum, Metal and Quarry Industries. Leading a team of 20 Accountants to manage accounting operations for all these entities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Formulate budgets and conduct variance analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results while implementing corrective actions.
• Liaise and negotiate with banks for raising fund and advise the organization for Capacity Expansions / Acquisitions.
• Oversee treasury functions including optimum utilization of surplus funds and control the same.
• Instrumental in validating business plans & commercial strategies for maximizing profitability & revenue generation in line with corporate goals.
• Determine financial objectives and prepare & implement systems, policies & procedures to facilitate internal financial control in the areas of pricing, credit and collection.
• Strategize adequate measures while monitoring the inward & outward flow of funds, ensuring optimum utilization of available funds towards the accomplishment of corporate goals.
• Coordinate with the Bankers to arrange Project Finance both funded and non-funded facilities.
Key Accomplishments:
• Handled major key customers like RTA Dubai, Nakheel Dubai, DMCC Dubai, Government of Ajman department of private properties, Government of Sharjah, Ministry of Public works & Housing-Dubai, ADNOC Distribution Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Housing programme Dubai, Obayashi Corporation (JT Metro JV) and Al Ain Municipality etc.
• Successfully raised the funds worth USD 250 Million from various banks which include funded as well as non-funded facilities.
• Effectively drafted the reports and presented the same to the Ministry of Finance on yearly basis for upgrading the classification in the economics department.
• Enhanced the capital from the receipt of advance payment from fast track projects like Dubai metro etc.
• Initiated & implemented numerous cost control measures for implanting inventory control & cost control.
• Closely monitored the project budgeted & estimated cost with the actual cost & BOQ.
Responsible for the maintenance of the accounts and accounting system of the company for the purpose of generating the Company’s financial statements.
Responsible for recording and internal reporting of receivables, expenditure and revenues.
Effective liaison with the Company’s Auditor in order to ensure that the accounts are audited within the set time and the reports are fully satisfactory.
Periodic submission of MIS report to Higher Level management.
Invoicing and reconciliation of debtor’s balances and age wise analysis of debtors.
Preparation of liquidation plan of debtor and comparing variance analysis.
Liaison with banks and other statutory authorities and preparation of BRS
Preparation of Salary Statement and Disbursement of Salaries.
Preparation of age wise analysis of stock & Monitoring the stock movement including periodical stocktaking.
Funds Planning and Control Budgeting and Variance Analysis.
Key Result Area:
¨ Successfully conducted financial statement analysis including gross margin analysis in order to improve the profitability of the Company.
¨ Successfully converted manual accounting system into computerized accounting system by using FoxPro package.
¨ Successfully established internal control system with regards to sales, purchases, cash, receivables etc.
¨ Successfully completed 5 years pending Sales Tax Assessment without liability.
Planning of audit with supervisors and partners.
Carrying the audit work with available staff and delegation of responsibilities to the juniors
Preparing audit notes, working papers and audit reports.
Drafting audit report depending upon the qualification and nature of audit.
Advising clients on tax planning and legal matters.
Checking and verification of books of accounts including vouching and preparation of Trial Balance.
Helping the clients in filing returns of incomes.
Preparation of cash flow statement and determination of working capital requirements of the companies at client’s request.
Effectively trained new article clerk and audit assistants.
Experienced in internal control and procedures.
Work with taxpayer on disagreed and protested cases.
Manage auditing of all internal accounts and management operations.
Develop a comprehensive and practical programs for management and operational audit.
