Part of 4 member team working as a LEM for 11 Great Britain (UK) small Citi BUs. We are end to end responsible for all the numbers flowing into the allotted 11 entities under US & UK GAAP. This constitutes a reviewer function involving interpretation, analysis and validation of all financial balances.
Financial Reporting & Business planning and Analysis.
• Responsible for Monthly Financial Reporting as per group requirements (IFRS).
• Leading the team involved in Budgeting and Forecasting for Ferring India.
• Analyzing sales, gross margins and EBIT. Highlighting areas of concern and suggesting plans for improvement.
• Responsible for MIS (which includes presentations to be presented to APAC by the MD/ CFO).
• Responsible for cost and credit control measures.
Leading ERP implementation (Navision) :
• Involves end to end planning and implementation of migration process.
• Liaison with ERP consultants and responsible for in-house consensus.
• Creation of Dimensions (Group markets, profit centres, cost centres, General ledgers, Locations etc) basis discussions with MD/ CFO.
• Finalization of Masters and mappings (Chart of accounts, Inventory, Customer, Vendor, Fixed Asset, price list etc).
• Finalization of Migration data (Trial balance, open customer /vendor items, sales, inventory, deciding accounts with auto post, sub ledger status, mapping general ledger directly to cost centres e.g. advertising and promotion expense).
• Devising cut over strategy before go live.
MIS Consolidation of Financials (IFRS) using SAP
GL reconciliation (ensure that balances do not show open items for more than two months without satisfactory explanation).
Managing Fixed Assets accounting, handled Fixed Assets rationalisation project.
Raising of service invoices on group companies based on the SLA.
Inventorisation and release of variances to appropriate market based on Stock turnover ratio.
Reviewing accounting of Goods In Transit.
Preparing and analysing Incontrol / exception report as a part of compliance and internal control system.
Consolidation of financials and liasion with auditors as part of statutory audit exercise.
Analysis of EBIT post reporting.
Played key role in handling end to end closure activities of one of the BUs which included arrangement of valuation / sale of assets, its accounting and reporting key updates to the management.
