• Level 4 - Repairing, maintaining, configuring and testing of OnTrak 1, 1.1, 2 FE-MWD/LWD Systems with directional drilling capabilities, formation resistance measurement, bore and annular pressure measurement, natural radioactivity measurement etc.
• Re-manufacturing drilling tools based on the historic drilling parameters like vibration, stick slip, dogleg, down-hole temperature etc.
• Team leader of the OnTrak team, which required attending maintenance planning as per operation forecast and delegating work as necessary.
• Member of the Bright Ideas Team contributing towards process improvements and cost reduction throughout all departments of Baker Hughes Dubai.
• Learning the various types of instruments used in the measurement of flow, temperature, level and pressure and submitting a formal report on the same at the end of the training.
• Learning the various processes involved in the refining of sugar and explaining the same in the form of a presentation.
• Supervising the maintenance/repair work done by the Instrumentation Technicians alongside a Junior Engineer.
• Updating the hardcopy of rack details by cross-checking on site.
• Observing and maintaining a record of all activities/modifications done by the experts during the testing period of the Möllers automated bagging machine.
• Learning the Refinery Operations through the D.C.S system installed in the Refinery.
• I also briefly learnt Sugar Sales & Marketing process at the Al Khaleej Sugar Co. Head Office.
Post-Graduation: Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering 2010 – 2011 Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh – Scotland www.hw.ac.uk Areas of Study: Petroleum Geosciences, Drilling Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Formation Evaluation, Well Testing & Analysis, Production Technology, Petroleum Economics and Reservoir Simulation. Group Project: Complete economic evaluation of an arbitrary field as part of a Field Development Project. (Grade A) Research based Individual Project: Application of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy to determine the Molecular weights of Hydrocarbons and their distribution. (Grade A)
