Accounting and Reporting
• Managing and monitoring company's day to day financial accounting.
• Preparation of month end MIS reporting i.e financial accounts (FA) and Management report (MA) within deadlines with detailed variance analysis for various cost and revenue.
• Reporting on factors influencing costs and conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
• Assisting in preparation of annual budget. Responsible for the establishment of controls to ensure that relevant and accurate information is available timely to aid the GM-Finance of the company in decision making.
Treasury function
• Monitoring cash flows which include preparation of daily cash flow, utilization of excess cash by settlement of trust receipts/other commitments and in case of shortage of funds, alerting the management/group companies by circulating funds requirement reports.
• Managing facility utilization of different banks on day to day basis considering various factors such as interest, bank charges & effective distribution of business to all banks, including application for open a/c Trust receipts, Acceptances under LC’s, negotiation of documents under bills for collection etc
• Day to day communication with banks to insure appropriate services for the company.
• Maintaining the comparison of cost of sources of finance/debt facilities and providing the inputs for negotiation of facilities with new bankers or renegotiation with the existing bankers.
• Negotiating and booking of forwards foreign exchange covers for open exposure other than reporting currency.
Audit and Systems
• Liaising with auditors to during the annual audit.
• Preparation of consolidation of the Group as per IFRS with the relevant inter-company adjustments and eliminations of related party transactions.
• Active member of SAP implementation, designed AS-IS process flow of current operating system, testing of SAP System developed on AS-IS process, identified the changes required, data collection in the required SAP formats, data upload in the SAP etc.
• Spearheading implementation of SAP-ECCS module, Structuring of all the FS reports, designed the process of consolidation which includes adjustment entries, FX translation, eliminations and balances carryforward. Thorough testing of the process for the correctness & identifying the changes if any.
