Project in Brief: The project aims to develop two new range of products; end suction pumps and split casing pumps (total 69 models for both). The project scope was covering hydraulic and mechanical design, pattern design and manufacturing, casting, machining, assembly, testing and final verification. The development process was done in cooperation with one of the leading consulting offices in Europe. The project aims to have the highest possible pumps efficiency in parallel with competitive cost durable mechanical design.
Duties:
• Insure that the hydraulic design, mechanical design, casting, machining, assembly and testing are being done according to the agreed specification and up to the quality limit required by the top management requirements.
• Follow up with all concern departments to have everything done one time and within the budget.
• Preparing products catalogues.
• Preparing monthly reports.
• Preparing training courses about the new products for sales and marketing teams.
• Sourcing out all new buy out items related to the new products like bearings and mechanical seals.
• Calculating the cost of production for each pump.
• Manage after sales services department and warranty claims for division’s customers.
• Study projects inquiries and decide whether to proceed in quoting or not.
• Supervising mechanical applications engineers.
• Design pumping systems, prepare hydraulic studies and provide the best solution for each case.
• Reviewing technical submittals and studies.
• Provide sales and projects teams with the required technical support.
• Training new engineers.
• Preparing technical presentations and conduct training courses for customers.
• Analyzing customers’ inquiries in the water works division scope of work.
• Design, selection and pricing of line shaft vertical turbine pumps and submersible turbine pumps (including special applications’ pumps).
