AVID Media Asset Supervisor:
My duties include but are not restricted to:
- Working on AVID Interplay Access software application to manage the interplay database as well as the ISIS usage.
- Responsible for day-to-day and medium/long-term media administration (i.e. correct naming convention, storage, media capturing for reports, airspeed tracking and recording, reconcile against producer work orders and post production scheduling System, server space, metadata and purging).
- Providing operational and editing support for the editors working on Media Composer/NewsCutter editing systems and the AVID Interplay database
- Providing operational training on AVID Interplay assist and Interplay for editors applications
- Coordinate with the involved departments such as post-production and technical support for all formats needed, with proper metadata information, to distribute the content properly.
- Prepare operational workflows and workflow documents for all the systems connected to AVID ISIS.
- Issue a weekly space capacity report for each program as well as for the whole ISIS, and advise on critical system overloading.
- Performing first level troubleshooting for the problems faced by the editors or any AVID Interplay assist user and trying to solve it, before reporting the problem to the ISIS engineers
- working closely with the broadcast and maintenance engineers on solving problems faced on our AVID production system.
- working with the engineering department on new projects for the company.
Redeployment of the editing workstations, working on new technical charts, and cabling of all the systems connecting them to the CAR to where all the central units were moved.
Leader engineer of the AVID production/Post-Production project connecting all the post-production workstations as well the the studio feeds to the AVID Unity ISIS system.
Supervising and managing the post-production team operationally and the post-production systems technically. (11 video and sound editors were directly reporting to me)
handling the duty planning of the editors as well as the maintenance of the editing workstations they are working on (Former leitch editing systems, velocityQ and Newsflash and later AVID MediaComposer and NewsCutter systems).
Coordinating with the production department, Acquisitions department and Art Center department, to provide them with the resources they need to finalize their work.
Sales & technical support working with SONY DVCAM products, Editing stations ES-3 & EditMaster systems at BCS (Broadcast and Communication Systems sal)a representative of SONY Broadcast & Professional Middle East, in Lebanon
