2. Setting up a new V\A On Air Digital Studio in the ERTU in Egypt
(4 Ikegami Cameras, Sony Vision Mixer, Studer Sound Mixer, 4 Digital Betacam VTR, Broadcast Router Harris, CG Unit, GR Unit, Grass Valley Server, Clear-Com talkback system, Tektronix Waveform Monitor and ADB Lighting System) connect to Microwave station and Fiber Optical transmitter
3. Setting up a New Six Non-Linear Editing Units (Final Cut Pro) communicate with each other and with Grass Valley Server
4. Designing and setting up audio and video circuits.
5. To provide high level engineering support to all Broadcast Services equipment to ensure the highest possible levels of technical and operational continuity to the ERTU
6. Supervise projects to ensure their completion, on time and to the highest standards, as set by the Engineering Management.
7. Develop both Junior and Broadcast Engineers through continual training and support.
8. Provide proactive feed back to ERTU Broadcast Services (via the Engineering Managers) of technical support issues, potential problem areas or advancements in technology that may be beneficial to ERTU.
9. Liaison with both internal and external clients for notification of fault conditions and their resolution.
10. To be responsible for the completion of all administration, documentation and shift reports.
11. Maintain and implement relevant policies and procedures and help with their production and ensure acceptance.
12. Provide detailed high-level Engineering input into new and existing systems development.
13. In conjunction with Engineering managers provide Personal Development Review input and objectives setting for the shift and junior engineering staff.
14. Take responsibility for prioritisation and resolution of all faults that occur on shift

Deputizing for the Head of IT in his absence: managing over 4000 PCs (W2k, XP, Vista, W7), 1500 networked hardware devices (printers, interface devices, etc.), 400 router, 400 switches, 350 network cabinets, 4000 networked points, 10 WANs (dialup and wireless), 40 servers (DB2, Oracle, NT, W2000, W2003, NetApps), 25TB of data storage, 250+Km of copper
and fiber optic cables and over 4000 end users.
