I am entrusted with the following responsibilities:-
• Responsible for the receipt, storage and issuance of raw materials and promotional materials.
• Maintain established inventory of materials and consumables.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock-takes and audit of the same to verify the results.
• Ensure material requisitions from the production department are issued with accurate amounts and according to specifications.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all items ordered from suppliers and received and counts, verify and make vouchers for all inventory movement in pin cards and ERP system.
• Administer documents and paper flow including material withdrawals, purchase requisitions, material receipts, and transfers to other warehouses, sub-warehouses and purchasing division.
• Apply storekeeping procedures and methods in arranging space, conducting inventories, estimating needs and maintaining and preparing forms, records and reports.
• Assure proper and precautionary methods are observed in handling and storing items requiring special treatment.
• Arrange and follow up loading and unloading both local and export/import shipments.
• Preparation of shipments’ packing list for logistics and invoicing purpose.
• Substitute in absence of supervisor.
• Provide strong leadership among warehouse workers and labours.
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:-
• Optimum space utilization, increase of 20% - 50% storage depending on materials.
• No major accident in the last 3 years due to strict compliance to safety standards.
• Reduction of working hours at an average of 27% for the last 3 years.
• Above 99 % percent accuracy in inventory.
• No major break down of MHEs due to introduction of preventive maintenance policy.
• No major violation of FIFO reported till date, indicating no loss of items with shelf life due to non usage within expiry date.
