• Scheduled and planned project’s development through various stages of the project.
• Provided complex scheduling & interfaced related technical support and effectively managed the project schedules to assigned internal client groups for major projects; planning, procurement, development, construction & regulatory activities.
• Acted as a champion for the consistent usage of the enterprise’s scheduling standards for the development and implementation of schedules and participated in keeping the scheduling and Earned Value Management standards current & up to date through continuous enhancement.
• Updated, revised & detailed schedules as the projects progressed through their development (FEED & EDS) & execution stages, e.g. Updated the schedules based on earned-value data.
• Acted as the technical advisor and provided expertise related to scheduling & planning, e.g. developing detailed “what-if” schedules & identified critical path elements and associated logic driven options.
• Provided operational support through accurate & timely critical-path management of the project schedules and provided planning support and assisted in developing construction execution strategies
• Measured & evaluated performance of the schedules activities (for example using Earned Value Analysis) & communicated issues such as analyzing the impacts that the schedule updates would have on the baseline plan.
• Ensured that resource requirements for the schedules were incorporated at planning stages & developed & managed schedule performance indicators
• Provided support, assistance to other internal staff in order to facilitate business initiatives and legal compliance and provided the EVA and measuring SPI & CPI (Schedule & Cost Performance Indices).
• Developed the NGP Project Master Schedule including the EPC, Commissioning, Permits activities for the project, integrating and reviewing each silo’s EPC schedule in the process with the respective EPC contractor of the silo.
• Successfully developed the project’s WBS.
• Planned project’s gate review requirements and coordinated some of the project’s plans for gate completions and sanctioning.
• Coordinated internal projects and associated external activities and advice on the technical preparation and disposition of documents required for project completion
• Led the continuous improvement of the enterprise’s project controls processes and P6 support.
• Interfaced with engineering consultants to develop project’s technical design deliverables for FEED & EDS.
• Was Responsible for interface & integration of design activities to account for both design & construction physical interfaces.

As Construction Planner on the Voyageur Oil Sands Upgrader Project:
• Construction Planning of the Voyageur Upgrader Project (11-12 Bn. CAN $) during the FEL (Front End Loading) & Execution Stages.
• Completed construction planning of the Voyageur Upgrader Project (11-12 Bn. CAN $) during the Design (FEL Stages) and Construction Execution (Primary & Secondary Upgrading & also Early Works, Civil Works and East Tank Farms Scope of the project) & planning Turnover Stages.
• Developed the Voyageur Upgrader Project’s Construction Execution Plans & Construction Management Plans
• Jointly developed the Voyageur Upgrader Project’s EPC Levels 2 & 3 integrated Construction Schedules and supervised the rolling down to Level 4 Execution Schedules.
• Developed the Fabrication & Modularization Plans & Schedules for the Voyageur Upgrader project and coordinated with the Suncor’s Offsite Fabrication Team for the project’s modules Modularization schedule and Transportation.
• Prepared the Workface Planning for the project and the Construction Work Packages (CWPs) and supported the EP House in preparing Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) and Modularization Work Packages (MWP) for the project.
• Lead various project areas’ risk management and evaluations and managed risk identification meetings, identifying schedule risks, issues and their thresholds.
• Prepared the construction directs and indirect responsibilities matrix.
• Supported the preparation of the project estimates.
• Coordinated and interfaced with the Major EP Houses working on Voyageur Upgrader project for schedule development, fabrication and modularization plans, and workface planning developments…etc.

Project: Shell Scotford Upgrader/Refinery Project

The Research Engineer Works for the industrial construction partners (clients) who are in agreement with the NRC-IRC to address/solve their projects’ construction planning issues.I have Worked with PCL Construction on the Shell Scotford Upgrader/ Refinery Project (Fort Saskatchewan, AB) during construction execution to address the following project’s construction planning issues:

 PCL Construction (Shell Scotford Upgrader Project) (Edmonton, Ft. Saskatchewan - Canada)
Enhanced the project’s construction execution schedule to achieve better resources’ utilization & account for limitations in both the resources & site space. Scheduled the various heavy lifts of the processes modules to optimize the project’s execution schedule and achieve better resources planning. Developed a framework with Primavera P6 at its center to achieve better resources utilization in the schedule and during the project’s execution. This framework was also used to enhance constructability & Value Engineering and achieve more accurate scheduling milestones.
