Participated and lead in commissioning of LNG jetty and CTS (custody transfer station).
Provides technical support as well as monitoring reliability and availability of installation.
· To ensure the integrity and reliability of electrical system/equipment, in view of equipment age and obsolescence.
· To carry out preventive maintenance activities based on Maximo work orders, and carry out skilled maintenance, repair and testing of electrical equipment.
· To participate in the assigned plant shutdown activities and ensure timely completion of job activities.
· To isolate and energize LV and HV motors and accept electrical permit to work.
· To comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures.
· To provide work direction and instruction to the contractor craftsman.
· To verify completed maintenance activities and ensure that the job is performed as per requirement and complete the maintenance activity sheet.
· To collect technical data from the field if requested by senior technician/area engineer.
· To provide On Job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
· To provide input for the preparation of Method statements and Initiate Near miss reports.
· To identify areas for improvement in the activities performed and assist the senior section personnel to carry out modifications and improvements to the system.
· To carryout visual inspection and be vigilant to identify any developing problem in the area assigned, and report any problems to relevant supervisor.
· To participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
• To maintain power generation (gas generators up to 1 MW and diesel generators up to 210 kW) monitoring and troubleshooting.
• To maintain Motor Control Center’s (MCC’s) (Westinghouse, Cutler Hammer, etc., ) monitoring and troubleshooting.
• To maintain L.T. switch-gears (G.E., ABB, etc., ) / panels.
• To maintain Soft Starters (BENSHAW, Siemens, Cutler Hammer, etc., ) monitoring and troubleshooting.
• To maintain Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) (HDR, AMETEK, etc.) system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• To maintain static / rotary battery charger / regulated battery chargers monitoring and troubleshooting.
• To maintain plant hard wire ladder logic control system monitoring and troubleshooting of electrical control accessories (Merlin Gerin, Telemecanique, ABB, ALSTOM, GE, etc.)
• To maintain Distribute Control System (DCS), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Panel View, etc., monitoring and troubleshooting.
• To maintain Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Siemens SCHEMATIC, Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, REMView etc., ) system monitoring, troubleshooting and offline / online ladder editing. Comprehensive knowledge of SLC 500, Micro logics 5000, RS Linx, RS View, etc.
• To maintain Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• To maintain gas compressors (reciprocating, screw, etc., ) control system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• To maintain PD (positive displacement) / jet pumps control system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• ALTRONIC: A renowned name in E & P for Ignition and Control System.
Comprehensive knowledge of all types of ALTRONIC Ignition System, Engine Controls, Instruments & Micro-controllers, Altronic Control Panels, etc.
