• Develop and maintain item sales and inventory plans in liaison with Business analyst.
• Solely responsible for sourcing and merchandising with a team of 4 merchants.
• Order and manage inventory investments to ensure the right product arrives in the right location in the right quantity at the right time in liaison with logistics team.
• Work directly with BA to ensure that assortment plans and item eligibility directly match with the replenishment plans.
• Ensure all vendors receive the PO’s on-time and incase of any non-delivery PO to ensure receipt within specified timeframe.
• Full support to BA during their absence on any urgent replenishment, MIS- reporting, follow up on product listings, PO, promotional issues and full support to any store queries.
• Strong relationship with fabric/accessory suppliers & manufacturers where they can be convinced and accept reasonable conditions made by the management.
• Present sales forecast and figures for new ranges and control stock levels based on forecasts.
• Analyzed every aspect of the best and worst sellers (Eg; The best selling price points, colors or styles) ensuring that sales were maximized. Made style-wise sales chart accordingly and reported to VP and organized SSM (Style selection meeting) for upcoming seasons.
• Direct BA team/Design team (Business Analyst) to choose right fabric & accessories for respective styling in order to fit into our retail target at the same time keeping in mind on the customer’s feedback.
• Submit weekly report along with growth chart to reporting authorities.
• Maintained a comprehensive database of goods moment from factory to distributers.
• Responsible for a turnover of 10M USD with team strength of 7 merchants.
• Maximized sales through effective merchandising, sourcing and marketing.
• Costing & Delivery finalization with Buyer in interaction with various fabric & accessory suppliers.
• Directly involved in cost/delivery negotiation with Fabric mill’s and responsible for closure.
• Involved in Product development and giving technical support wherever value engineering is required in meeting customer target.
• Overseeing and fulfilling customer requirements, creating continuity for merchandise orders, researched latest trends and coaching buyers on creating solid vendor relationships.
• Responsible for close deals of TNA with Factories and CP with Buyers.
• Responsible for 100% On-Time delivery.
• Expertise in handling multiple customer’s / Products / Factories at same time.
• Reviewed production reports and line plan with the team on daily basis to ensure production is in line with the required output to meet the delivery.
• Visited factories often and offered valuable directions while they are at any constraint situation.
• Carried out & submitted post shipment costing to the management along with order reconciliation.
