Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Analyze drawings and specifications. Understand contractual terms and conditions.
Assemble accurate and well organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for Stipulated Price, Design-Build and Construction/Project Management formatted projects.
Provide clear detailed quantity take offs. Organize sub-contractors quotations, negotiate to insure quotes meet contract documents and issue proper documented purchase orders.
Complete Budgeting and Scheduling for projects and track same.
Monitor progress, requisition change orders and identify any potential risks.
Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients.
Insure site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to project.
Work with and deal with concerns of field personnel.
Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labour costing.
Formulate cost break down from estimates and for project progress.
Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the design of a variety of projects, including residential regeneration schemes, pedestrian schemes, road or retail schemes and maintaining the character of sites of natural beauty;
• Establishing general landscape requirements with clients;
• Conducting preliminary studies of the site, including plot dimensions, climate, nature and topology of the land, access points to the plot, contours, soil quality, ecology, buildings, roads, wind directions, wind intensities, north direction, amount of sunlight, sunlight directions, prevailing views, existing vegetation and on-site utilities, presence of neighboring structures or any other influential factors such as seashore/railway line, highway, etc. and other environmental factors detrimental to the outcome of the design;
• Assessing a site’s potential to meet the client’s specifications;
• Carrying out environmental impact assessments;
• Seeking and taking into account the views of local residents, potential users and parties with a vested interest in the project;
• Planning the location of buildings, roads and walkways and the arrangement of flowers, shrubs and trees so that they are not only functional but also beautiful and compatible with the natural environment;
• Preparing schematic, preliminary and final drawings for the project;
• Monitoring and checking work on-site;
• Contacting and coordinating manufacturers and suppliers;
• Presenting proposals to clients, dealing with enquiries and negotiating any amendments to final design;
• Matching the client’s wishes with confident knowledge of what works best;
• Making site visits;
• Supervision of the site during execution to see that the landscaping contractor carefully follows the design for necessary dimensions, material, their particular manufacturers, etc.;
• Ensuring project deadlines are met;

• Calculating initial areas and quantities then coming up with cost and profit estimates, quotations for landscaping work packages.
• Procuring materials, suppliers and subcontractors for different construction materials and services that the current project requires.
• Calculating as-built areas and quantities and updating the cost-profit sheets accordingly.
• Writing subcontract agreements and contracts as well as landscape consultancy contracts as needed for current projects.
• Writing project letters, correspondences and notices as needed.
• Recruiting additional staff, evaluating and review of his/her skills and training as per company methodologies and standard procedures.
