Yards Operations Manager, responsible for day to day safe operation of the fabration and construction yard. Taking care for EPC in ship building, ship conversion and off shore construction projects many times appointed as construction and project manager for internal projects. More than 20 years experience in huge steel fabrication projects on managerial positions
.• Responsible for managing the various activities pertaining to Yard operations and encompassing:
o Proper implementation of Health/Safety/Environment regulations and policies are followed across the Yard
o Functioning as Project/Construction Manager for internal and external projects appointed by Operations and Managing Director
o Daily yards operations, manpower planning and allocation, project profit, project schedules, deadlines
o Supervision of about 14000 man hours consumed in two working shifts
o Maintenance and operations of drydock, yard infrastructure and Capital Expenditures
• Developing and implementing yard policies in accordance with company’s overall strategic objectives
• Analyzing yards productivity, cost reports and presenting the same to Operation Director
• Participating and deciding in yards estimation, planning, evaluation of building strategies, fabrication/installation methods of statement, identifying and determining the most effective plan and choosing of best options
• Overseeing preparation and implementation of the Training Matrix - “training gap analysis”. Managing the workers through coaching and training in order to improve their performance and achieve department objectives
• Developing, submitting and monitoring the yard yearly budget
• Creating a healthy environment among all team members to motivate them to achieve company objectives on safe and productive way with optimum quality
• Coordinating with other Cost Center Managers, Project Managers, Construction Managers in projects execution
• Leading a team of construction engineers/projects control engineers, construction superintendents/managers, construction supervisors to successful projects execution with best optimization of work practices and utilization of resources
