While working as a Quantity Surveyor, my duties and responsibilities includes:
• Supporting the project personnel to achieve project objectives.
• Formulating operating budgets and managing overall operations for executing projects within cost & time norms.
• Identifying project risks and maintaining expectations & measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
• Considerately dealing and negotiating with sub-contractors.
• Executing monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
• Offering advice to project staff on commercial & contractual matters including reviewing & drafting of correspondence.
• Reviewing the architects’ and engineers’ plans, identifying the costs involved, and then setting an overall estimated budget for the project and comparing the project with similar projects.
• Managing the costs to help the design team to stay within the project budget using practical solutions, as a part of Value Engineering and Value Management.
• Reviewing all the documents pertaining to the Method of Measurement and understanding the conditions of contract and specifications Involved in the analysis and calculations regarding risk, value management and cost control.
• Preparing Rate Build-up data for Site Instructions, Periodic Project Status Report, Variations and New Items.
• Preparing cash flow data of the projects and forwarded to financial director for the company financial report.
• Estimating cost effects of project when changes to the project occur like delays & agree on ‘variation’ with contractors
• Checking and verifying the Material Stock Detail and Material.
• Worked as a Xsteel/CAD/Tekla Operator, my duties and responsibilities includes:
• Producing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and blueprints.
• Visiting sites to gather information, and determine limitations and feasibility of designs.
• Updating software, drawings, and other documents.
• Remaining professional when feedback is delivered, and implementing any changes to drafts as soon as possible.
• Ensuring drawings are compliant with building regulations and engineering principles.
• Communicating potential design issues to engineers and architects.
• Conducting research when required.
While working as a Civil Quantity Surveyor/Estimator/Site Engineer, my duties and responsibilities includes:
• To major task I am responsible are to price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
• Make sure to prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantity and other documentation to work efficiently with project managers.
• To track changes the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
• To review the procured or agreed the services of contractors and/or subcontractors and checking their payment application.
• Measure and value the work done on site.
• Liaison with the client and other construction professional, such as managers, project managers and site engineers.
• Write reports and record data of work accomplishments.
• As a site engineer in the same time as estimator, I do prepare the bar bending schedule, the concrete mixture volume measurement required to ordered in batching plant and project monitoring of project completion.
• Project Manager to perform value engineering to provide the both employer and contractors benefits .
• One of my tasked are to provide structural design in civil works foundations, station post and preparing the Cad drawings for client approval, drawing modifications including job implementations.
• Attending clients meeting regarding on project progress and issues, disputes resolution, technical presentations and additional works for verifications to proceed.
• Over all in charge in project procurement and implementation.
• Preparation Bills of Quantity to procure in the most profitable way of the company.
