• Manage and supervise construction works for land developments such as road networks, sewer, drainage and water lines as well as the construction of residential buildings. Ensure smooth turn-over of completed units to the owner / buyer.
• Manage, supervise and lead project site engineers and supervisors.
• Ensures that the contractors adhere to the budget cost, quality, time and safety of the project. Issue Non-Conformance Reports, Defects Inspection Notice and Site Instructions if necessary. Directly issue orders to contractors’ engineers and staff for early resolutions of issues and concerns on site.
• Guide contractors in interpreting the plans and advice construction procedures as needed.
• Review submittals by the consultants, contractors and the surveyor regarding design drawings, schedules, reports, billings and survey reports and recommend approval to the Management.
• Resolve problems and issues between land development and building contractors resulting from simultaneous works on site.
• Remind contractors thru correspondence if there is non-compliance to the contracts and ensures contracts are strictly followed.
• Prepare pre-qualification guidelines and evaluates qualifications for short listing of qualified Contractors for upcoming projects. Coordinate with project Consultants all queries by bidders.
• Evaluate bids of prospective contractors.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Maintain files of all project submittals.
• Conducts regular weekly site coordination meeting and prepare the minutes.
• Directly reports to the Company’s Senior Vice President.
Supervision of structural concrete and steel works, facade and finishing works. Structural concrete works include construction of mat foundations to roof structures for National Convention and Sidra Medical and Research Center building projects. Structural steel works include the main structured for Science and Technology Park and National Convention Center and the 3 Atrium of the Sidra Medical building projects, all in Education City in Qatar. Structural concrete works also include the pre-cast and pre-tendion installations. Check and review project documents such as shop drawings, work schedules, method statements and material submittals. Ensure site engineers are furnished with updated project documents for easy reference. Prepare reports. Attend to request for inspections on structural and finishing works. Perform other tasks as required by site managers.
Management and supervision of the above mentioned projects ensuring schedules are met and the construction costs of the projects are according to approved budgets. Prepare project documents such as schedule, budget and cost estimates, shop drawings using Revit software and structural calculations using STAAD. Monitor actual site works to make sure schedules are strictly followed; costs are according to approved budget and ensure quality of works. Guide the site engineers and supervisors regarding technical matters that need clarifications. Prepare manpower and equipment schedules and assign manpower as per project requirement. Attend regular coordination meetings.
