International Standard Verifier (ISV) - Part-Time à Pearson

This is a part-time role. The role of the ISV is to monitor the management and delivery of BTEC programs at Edexcel centers, provide the support for theses centers, review their resources, and provide guidance. The ISV also undertakes sampling of assessment and internal verification decisions for units from a range of qualifications within a Principal Subject Area (PSA) to confirm that standards have been achieved and to ensure that centres’ programmes are being assessed and internally verified to the required standard. The ISV also produces accurate, professional reports for centers and Pearson on the: sampling undertaken; outcomes reached and support provided, within agreed service level agreements. In addition, the ISV makes judgments and where it is found that assessment or internal verification decisions or processes do not meet the required standard, apply appropriate sanctions. finally, the ISV produce a targeted action plan for a centre when required standards are not being reached

Managing the training affairs at BTI. There are 11 training divisions offering more than 70 training programs of different types at different levels. The levels of the programs vary from programs for school leavers, job seekers, to professional and career development. Most of the programs are internationally accredited by international awarding bodies e.g. Edexcel (BTEC and London Examination) - the biggest British awarding body. Professional development course are run through partnerships with CIPD, NEBOSH IOSH, ROSPA, AAT, Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Prosoft, CompTIA, EC Council and others. There are also specialized tailored made training programs and courses that are offered for the industry. The total number of staff in these divisions is about 200 (mixture of Ph.D., M.Sc, B.Sc, and Diploma holders).

Establishing and Running the Cisco Networking Academy at BTI in February 2001 as the first Academy in Bahrain. In 2006, I managed to promote BTI to a Regional Academy covering Bahrain. As the person in-charge of the Academy, I recruited all the Academies in Bahrain under BTI supervision currently. Under my Academy management, BTI Cisco Academy has achieved three regional awards (2008 to 2010) and been selected as one of eight Cisco Academies worldwide to participate in the pilot scheme of the new Academy restructuring project which started in 2011. The Cisco Academy at BTI now plays three out of four roles in the Academy structure (Academy Support Center, Instructor Training Center, and Cisco Academy) and cover Bahrain and Kuwait. I teach CCNA, CCNP, and CCNA Security Academy curriculums. I am also CCNA Instructor Trainer.

Established all IT Academy international partnerships and affiliations with the IT leading institution such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Prosoft (CIW), Thompson Prometric and Pearson VUE testing centers and founder of the first Cisco Academy in Bahrain at BTI in Feb 2001.

The National Employment Project (NEP) is an initiative from H.H. the King Sh. Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa who has allocated a budget of BD 30 million to solve the unemployment problem in Bahrain. I have also worked closely with the NEP consultant EFI International.
