• Analyze samples of varying types, for physical, chemical and microbial constituents; calculate and evaluate results.
• Perform chemical, bacteriological and biochemical investigations to develop and improve laboratory and field methods.
• Conduct field and laboratory experiments to determine the effects and suitability of chemicals used in water treatment
• Devise and adapt complex sampling methods.
• Prepare reports on routine analysis, special projects, quality control and other operational issues to ensure that quality standards, efficiency and schedules are met.

• Set up equipment or stations to monitor and collect pollutants from sites, such as smoke stacks, manufacturing plants, or mechanical equipment.
• Decide what tests are needed, keep precise and detailed records, and develop testing procedures to gain the necessary information
• Perform regular plant visits to multiple plants to review the current performance of the water treatment systems
• Provide recommendations on cost savings, process improvements, and plant optimizations.
• Maintains chemical inventory, orders process chemicals, and insures adequate quantities of all process chemicals.
• Provide plant-specific training on raw water pretreatment systems, demineralization systems, HRSG, water treatment, circulating water system water treatment, zero liquid discharge systems, and chemical feed systems
• Regularly meets with the Lead Maintenance Engineer to coordinate and minimize the effect of facility maintenance on water quality and quantity of production
• Provided expertise on operation, and troubleshooting of raw water treatment technology. (clarification, filtration, softening, demineralization)
• Provided expertise in minimizing corrosion, fouling and scaling, in steam and condensate quality and treatment, in water reuse and in other areas of water treatment.
• Troubleshooting of wastewater treating equipment including source reduction, oil/water/solids separation, biological oxidation, clarification, filtration
• Equipment selection and guiding research for the improvement of the process.
• Monitor all equipments and record operational process parameters.
• Report abnormalities, failures and take corrective measure as per guide lines
• Apply all standard safety measures to all the works
